Bleach got knida confusing.*MASSIVE SPOILERS*

Well now that the plot is back on, bleach got kinda confusing for me (ZOMFG! NO WAI! o.O). There's the Arrancar, and the Vaizard. The Vaizard are shinigami who gained hollow powers, and the Arrancar are Menos Grande (Adjhucas, Vasto Lorde) who took off their masks and gained shinigami powers. What's the difference? To me, they just seem like the same thing, but coming from the opposite thing. And why the hell did they make Kurosaki Isshin(Hope i spelled that right)(Ichigo's dad) a shinigami?

As you said Vaizards and Arrancar are the same thing just how it happened is reversed. The only other difference is that Arrancar remained hollows and Vaizards remaned Shinigami.

And Isshin Kurosaki has always been a shinigami. That's how Ichigo was born with his OWN shinigami powers.

And there is another difference, When Arrancar's release their Zanpahktoh they are really just releasing their TRUE Hollow power. Since they sealed it into sword form to conserve power.

While Vaizards use Hollow powers in thier normal form but can release Zanpahktoh like a normal Shinigami.

Isshin has been a shinigami since long ago.
He was with Urahara when Urahara was still a Captain x_x...

A Vaizard is a Shinigami that got the hollow's power.
It's a shinigami that can put on a mask, and release it's zanpakutou (yeah it is being spelled that way >_>..)

Which means a vaizard has ShiKai and BanKai

But in other hand, the Arrankar(took the spelling off mangas...too used to it...) ISN'T a Menos Grandes. In facts, it is any sort of hollow.
It is a Hollow that gained Shinigami's power but remains more as a hollow.

The Vasto Lorde are the most intelligent and strongest but yet smallest Menos Grandes you could find.
The more an Arrankar is stupid, more it'll look like a hollow.
The more an Arrakar is smart, more it'll look like a Shinigami.

Their power is to release THEIR true sealed form and for now, as what I think... It is their kind of ShiKai and BanKai release.
Which could mean that a Vaizard is stronger :)

Except maybe for an Espada =|
