Since when has The Sun actually proven anything otherwise?

eh.... at least you guys don't have Faux News.....

Does Fox have pictures of half naked women each issue?
Does Fox....Wait they're owned by the same man so they're bound to be almost alike.

Oh, dear God! Fox owns more than one media outlet!?!?

*Vomits*

Murdoch's got quite an influence with the media here in Britain.

Sky television, News of the World, The Sun, Times and The Sunday Times. Yeah its just that BAD! its only a matter of time before he tries taking over all the other media outlets......

Don't forget MySpace is a subsidary of NewsCorp as well!

FUN FACT: The Sun exerts so much influence (it sells 3.3million copies daily; it is the biggest selling English language paper in the world) that the political party it supports by the time of an election gets a 4% boost from Sun readers ALONE.

Your joking right? thats the worst piece of information I've heard all today. Man I sure do hate those tabloid papers.....

Yep, the media do have a little strangehold going on there.

Remember I'm going to be making a career out of doing so! In a good way...

The Sun promotes Chav's and crap celebrities too much, which, with all that influence, has left a horrid mark on British culture. Our country is now said to be obsessed with sex and celebs. I wonder why they make think that?

That's why me and some comrades are evacuating.
We're getting off of this boat, the Sodom and Gomorrah, and swimming ashore.
To Holland.
To Apeldoorn we will go, where we will enjoy good food, great beer, and better women than the UK, while those idiotic enough to stay behind will wallow in their filth before death comes.

Reality TV, higher crime rate than the rest of Europe, chavs, The Sun, violence, the BNP, the gathering grounds of every single illegal immigrant scrounger in the world, more home bred scroungers than the rest of Europe, a Sex Theme Park in London, the fact that NOT ONE PERSON campaigned to have Abu Hasam assasinated, Manchester, political correctness, bad food, worse weather, and Jimmy Carr.

Seen all those flags sticking on cars?
Proud of England? How the fuck does a rag made in Korea show your pride?
What the fucks to be proud of?
WHY would you be proud of a piece of dirt?
I hope the goddamned place sinks, whether I'm on it or not.

The cure to England? Round up every large mouthed uber-annoying "lets happy slap ya for no bloody reason" chav and shoot them. I say this because right now the most annoying gang of chavs is outside my house shouting their heads off for no reason what-so-ever AND listening to rap. EERGH.

The second cure to England? Goto the Sun Newspaper. And burn them. With fire.

The third cure to England? Find every American that still thinks we use the posh, "pip pip hurrah" voices and shoot them. With fire. Why? Because if I see one more Hollywood movie set in England with posh people i'm going to go on a rampage.

There. Random homicidal rant over. I have the feeling ive forgot to take my meds again.

Well guess we'll be going seperate ways then. I'd be off to Italy to live as soon as i get the crap out of the way. Hopefully.

Becuase none of those things exist in other countries!

Seriously, you'd all go to mainland Europe? The single currency is being bogged down by the dollar; of course immigration is a problem, but please remember more Britons emigrate; Holland'll sink pretty soon; Italy has a useless government that until recently had a strangehold on the media. Etc, etc, etc.

You're chastising the media and yet using thier reasons (many of which are inflated beyond reason) for wanting to leave the country.

Canada seems like the place to go. And they speak sodding English (well, most of it...)

Aki-at

Yeah looks like I'll be sticking to this country as long as the economy is strong and I can make a good living. Not to mention London is my most favourite city in the world (not because of pride in England, since I'm not the type of person who believes in pride of anything) but because so many people are part of the city from all over the world! etc etc

Of course being an Asian, it does scare me the BNP are planning to take over the country. Of course that will never happen since there are enough decent people in this country to repel them.

Perks hit the nail on the head. You move and you'll just complain about all the problems elsewhere.

Pinkie Pie

No intention of moving elsewhere. I don't think my family would survive without free healthcare.
(Yes we pay taxes but we've got more than our money'sworth from the NHS.)

Lets put it this way - Im glad I live here rather than in America for several reasons. (Sorry to you yanks, but its true.)

We know all to well. Or, those of us that don't need to tear their eyes from MTV and read a *****ing book! It's one thing to have some patriotism for your country and argue the point, but the millions of idiots that just go "America roxzorrs, Eminem 4eva, hizzy to the shizzy!" need to be shot.

Yeah, American MTV (and MTV UK for that matter; MTV2's it's only saving grace. At night) is utter wank.

I've spent at least an accumilation of a year in Holland, and at least a quater of my entire clan live there. I have yet to hear a complaint, and I have yet to make one.

The only thing I will possibly complain about at Holland-
Go to Amsterdam. Go to the red light district. Goggle at the beautiful women.
SHUDDER WITH HORROR at the 50 year olds.

The dutch have a serious lack of tollerance for bullshit, I have nought but love for them.

But, I see what you mean.

I would recommend that Holland seems to be one of the few European countries worth running off to. France, Germany, Italy though: they've got lots of problems, and Spain is full of British tourists...

gagaman
27-05-06, 11:11
Spain may as well be called England II, so many Brits live over there now (I know, my nan and grandad lived out there about a decade ago, and most of their neighbours were also British). Although over than the sun (which is over-rated o start with), from my experiences of going there, there's just nothing interesting there at all. No culture, nothing, just beaches and swimming pools.

To answer this one and similar ones, it seemed alright when i was over there. No complaints here.

I'm either going to Canada or Japan when I get the chance.

Lat@games

I'd move to somewhere but I'm too poor and lazy to do it.
But if I could it might be South Korea, mainly because it televises Starcraft games and the fact that it's the most technologically connected country in the world. It's a bit like Canada because both are next to a very unstable county that could destroy the entire world if provoked.

I'd have felt uneasy if I lived there when Berlusconi was their president; he owned more or less most of the media there and had a bit of an influence over it.

BlueSonnet

Maybe for now i'll just settle with living there for just a year like my brother did in canada, and see how it goes from there. Will that make you feel better Perks? :g-neko:

But yeah i'm speaking more from my budget more than anything else.
