Comment on mixes, and post your own recent "Ah, my music" compilations.
I have just compiled this ecclectic-as-fuck mix to help battle insomnia.
The tracks are for the majority instrumental, in fact there's only 4 songs on it with vocals (and on one of them not a lot)
The tracks are mainly chilled out, though some have elements that will both uplift and sadden [Which is good for me, as melancholy music cheers me up IMMENSELY]
["Bloody weirdo!"]
1) Nobuo Uematsu: Materia
2) Sonic Youth: Brave Men Run (In My Family)
3) John Petrucci: Glasgow Kiss
4) Drear: The Simplicity In Dying
5) Origa: Inner Universe
6) Liquid Tension Experiment: Freedom Of Speech
7) Jimi Hendrix/Band Of Gypsies: Machine Gun
8) Aphex Twin: Xtal
9) Boards Of Canada: Satellite Anthem Icarus
10) Metallica: To Live Is To Die [Instrumental]
11) Benighted Leams: The Ice Desert
12) Alice In Chains: Nutshell
69 minutes long
[And the songs with vocals are the Sonic Youth, Hendrix, Origa, and Alice In Chains]
Petrucci and Metallica might be a mistake, as they're the only two loud songs on the album. Might wake me up when it's on repeat, thus defeating the point of making this mix in the first place!
