Post your work for C+C and submissions to me. Once "we" (as a group, whomever is working on the comic) have enough sprites, I will begin the comic, that way the comic stays afloat and doesn't die on the first couple of pages. Also keep in mind that there can be SOME talk on details of the comic, but most info I will try to keep under wraps. And now, without further adieu, I give you my current creations:

Also keep in mind this isn't going to be a one-sided comic; I'm trying my hardest to create as much of the material as posible, so as not to make it seem like I let others do all the work for me.

EDIT: EDIT: As people here aren't getting the picture, the work I do for this IS NOT PD, meaning no one has the right to use these sprites that I have made without express permission from me. In fact, ALL of my sprites are Non-PD unless otherwise stated.

Nope, it's not. I set this up for team sprite submissions FOR the comic before the comic is created. I don't have enough sprites to begin the comic yet, but I am diligently continuing the creation process myself and have allowed anyone who is willing to participate in the creation to post here for C+C and submission for now until the comic is up. Then when it's up, I'll create a new topic in the comic section for the comic itself.

Actually, when the Green Ranger begins to lose his powers he gives his power vest and dagger flute to the Red Ranger so that the powers aren't completely lost. It only came up a couple of times in the show.

[Off Topic] The white ranger has to be the coolest of all of Tommy's ranger powers, even though it's power is far outshone by the power of the green ranger.

I have a mind like a steel trap when it comes to video games and TV shows that I loved when I was a kid. I remember clearly EXACTLY almost every show that I saw. I even remember another show that got outshone by MMPR, and that show was called "VR Troopers". It was also very cool.

Alright. I can personally remember a fair bit of the original Power Rangers myself. Let's see... Each Ranger had a Dinosaur...

Red: T Rex
Yellow: SaberTooth Tiger
Pink: Pterodactyl(?)
Green: Dragon
Black: Mammoth

That's all I can remember. Wait! Blue had a Triceratops, right?

Off Topic: Man, that's weird. Everything I like is connected. It's sooo creepy! Green is my favourite color, and that's connected to dragons, which are my favourite mythical creature, which is connected to Chinese mythology in that Dragons were bringers of rain (My favourite kind of weather), and is also connected to Vampires in that Vlad Tepes Dracul III's father was the founder of a group called the Order of the Dragon, Vampires are connected to bats, which are one of my 3 favourite animals...

It was kinda similar to Power Rangers in the fact that they also wore spandex suits and helmets. But there were only originally three team members, cooler looking designs on the suits, and it wasn't a mystical thing just a Virtual Reality styled show. Hence the name "VR" Troopers. Also my name is "Turp" for short, not "Turn", thanks.

Me too!!!!!! Lol, I loved Flabber, the mummy, wolfman and, that frankenstein wannabe. And they actually had civillian powers!!!! One could be super fast by snapping his fingers, the girl could be super strong by cracking her knuckles, and the leader could levitate stuff by pointing at it with two fingers. (Info overload anyone?)

Ninjor sounds weird. The Lost Galaxy power rangers are just plain stupid. the TV Ninja powers for the original rangers are also stupid. And I hated Lightspeed Rescue.

And that's why I'm sticking to my guns on the fact that I will only showcase the originals in this comic, not even second season. I feel it will give better nostalgia and that no-one will want to assasinate me for recreating the sin of PR spinoff overload.

Also the original enemies were called "Putties" or the "the Putty Patrol".

Weeeeellll, MAYBE the thunder zords, those were my fav too. But absolutely NO team substitutions, I hated Rocky and Tania, and those other original wanabes that call themselves Power Rangers. Nothing beats the originals.

I NEVER said teams couldn't show up. I said I won't sprite them/put them in my comic unless there's a VERY good reason. And I DEFINITELY didn't mean teams in GENERAL wouldn't show up/CAMEO. *wink,wink. Nudge,nudge*

EDIT: Also all I said was I don't want replacements, if there so happens to be an extra Ranger there from a different series, so be it. But the originals will be the main characters.

@ Roar 'n' Stuff: Yes but I first wanted to have fun with an 'idea' me and my friends thought up about that fact. This idea will give the comic a bit of needed humor. Continue making the Zords though as I need them for the idea, but keep in mind I want the originals. I will not disclose the idea until we are more prepared, sorry.

@ RTX: You have the look down pat, but he's too small. Lord Zedd is WAY more muscular than that scrawny bone bag (no offense intended). Try making him taller and feed him some steroids. Good first try though. Maybe try and use one of the civilians as a base, that way he isn't too big like serpent, but isn't scrawny enough to look like a biometal for Vent/Aile.

@ x_axl_zero: Pink ranger had a Crane Zord. Unfortunately though the movie is the precursor to the second season, so those zords don't count. I want the originals: Mastodon, Triceratops, Saber-toothed Tiger, Pterodactyl, Tyrannosaurus, Dragon, and Tiger. And later on I’ll introduce the Thunder Zords WITHOUT switching out the team. So there aren’t going to be second season Zords.

The sprite section is for displaying your sprites, not getting cameos. Use your own game thread or comic thread to do that please.

But it's ok, however next time if you're not sure of what to do, just ask a mod. It's not like you're in trouble or anything anyhow though. :P

Also, my mistake, it wasn't cameos, but more of a "staff." Still, the Sprite section still isn't the place for that. "Help me with my comic" would definitely go in the comic section.

Anyhow, good luck with your comic... I liked the old Power Rangers better than any other ones I've seen. :P (But being like 8 years old makes everything cool...)

Well, I have to admit... after Zeo, Power Rangers was never the same (at least, not the US version). The majority of the seasons just plain stunk - the music was generic, the plots were droll at best, and the alot of the Rangers and main villains sucked. I lost interest in the series until Ninja Storm came around.

If I had to rate all of the seasons from 1 to 10, these would be my ratings:

Mighty Morphin (all seasons): 10/10 - Nothing beats the original.

Zeo: 10/10 - It was a nice follow-up.

Turbo: 6/70 - It was fine until Tommy and the other remaining originals left.

In Space: 8/10 - I actually enjoyed this one except for Astronoma and her rotating hairstyles.

Lost Galaxy: 5/10 - It had a nice Halo thing going on in the beginning, but here's where the decline really started.

Lightspeed Rescue: 3/10 Nothing really interesting in this one, except for the Titanium Ranger.

Time Force: 1/10 - Other than Quantum Ranger, nothing interested. AND it had the worst main villian EVER.

Wild Force: 2/10 - ...CGI Zords... okay. Plus, it had one of the toughest Pre-Ranger enemies throughout the Power Rangers series (2nd only to the original Green Ranger)

Ninja Storm: 9/10

Dino Thunder: 8/10

Space Patrol Delta: 9/10

Bigger, and no pant base. Scratch some MUSCLES on the man, all you're doing right now is scratching the face and recolouring the body. When you use something as a base you only normally use the size, but change the appearance drastically. Keep trying though.

Also it's good to have a reference pic, do you want one?

Actually Kraft would be around the ideal height and frame. But someone is already trying to do him. Tell you what, we can do a sprite-off on that sprite, he seems somewhat popular anyways. And if I like both of the sprites I'll personally splice them together to get the optimal look if you guys want it that way.

Cool, now all you need is the metal rib-cages.

(EDIT)= Oh, and make the green parts in the mug and the sheet look more like silver lining instead of what's there now. Then there are only a few more metal parts to add to his legs and arms, and then to make his head spike a bit longer, then he'll be completed.

Other than those, it looks very, very, good.

(EDIT2)= Also I remember his eyes/visor turning red when he was angry, otherwise it was black, so make another mug and sheet showing the same character with black eyes/visor, for when he's calmer than he is when attacking the Rangers, or sending his minions to attack them as usual.

I've already stated that Zedd's base would look better if it was Kraft because he's about the right height and frame and you can execute more details on the body. Also you'll probably not have to tweak the the shape very much either. Oh and BTW I can't see the link, it's broken.

No, just no. Those are from the MOVIE, I'm making sprites from the SERIES. And Ivan sucked so much he got defeated right away. I've already stated my intentions people, don't give ideas that goes against this. If you have an idea for MY story that's not related to MMPR, however, that may be a totally different story altogether.

On a side note: Sorry I haven't been updating as much lately, I've been busy getting things done and basically mangling my body to uselessness. I'll hopefully have a couple of related and non-related updates up sometime today.

Wow. This has grown a lot. I love the mugshots, they look really profecional. Turp, one piece of advice in the green ranger morphosis: I would change the way the helmet appears, instead of showing up straight up->down, I would go with something more round (but that is just me, and I don't know the original rangers did it...)

Actually it was the same way it's doing it now, except it went from the very top to the very bottom. I kinda stole my morphin style from a couple later spinoffs, which I might add, are the only thing I found good about the later series.

Some custom Ranger melee attacks would be nice, I haven't been able to make my own. You can either use model X or one of the Rangers to sprite this, as X is the base I'm working from for the positions for everything. Right now I'm working on the blaster shots for the rangers, it's coming along slow but steady. I'm gonna call it a night, as MythBusters is playing now. (I love that show X3)

EDIT: Oh and I have a rough sketch of the comic in it's entirety, I'm getting a friend of mine to step in on the individual page details. I'll disclose the outline later.

They may look short to the real life counterparts, but keep in mind this is ZX style, they need to fit properly to look good. To the question of Alpha 5, he is a sentient cyborg that was created to aide Zordon. He helps the rangers in various ways. (none of which come to mind at the moment >_>)

It's still the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, I just renamed it to ZX Rangers since I'm doing the sprites entirely in the style of Megaman ZX. Also, I don't like the Mystic Force series. >_> I too have a DeviantART account, and have created some things of my doing as well, though not comics or photos; Just pixel art. I also already have a co-storywriter for the comic, a friend of mine very good at crafting funny and exciting stuff. I'm not near the opening of the comic yet, but we're getting there. What we really need right now are support spriters for the various things in the comic.

Off-Topic:The only good formation of power rangers was the first, when it was purely Japanese influenced. After that they went and made it more americanized which killed the whole series for me. MMPR was one of my favorite shows growing up and I still have the action figures and such packed away with Godzilla, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, and such. God, I miss those figures. I'm going to storage now, and finding that fateful box with "Childhood Memories" written on it.
