The UnderSquare's EXE7 Submission Thread.

Hi, GrooveMan.exe here.

As you may already know, I am a member of The UnderSquare's Fan Game project, EXE7 (http://www.exe-undersq.com/site/exe7news). We're getting along, but due to the few numbers of spriters and programmers currently on staff, the chance of making speedy progress has been diminished.

So I suggested an inter-forum campaign. This forum, and 2 others (Pixeltendo, and Game Maker Games) can help out by submitting anything. And I do mean ANYTHING.

That's because there's a whole load of little details that make up a game - in both coding and graphics - that make a good game great. And you probably have a good idea as to what they are.

Do you have an idea for a menu screen? Have you made an awesome mugshot/textbox system? Are overworlds your calling in life? Then post it here with the forum name and your Name or Internet Alias. You can have as many people as you want working on one piece, but remember to state who you are. The resources we use (especially the big donors) will be credited in game! Imagine howmany fangirls you'd get!

My boss Silent Ji refuses to give me a list of what's required specifically until we know if the people are interested. I'm not allowed to give anything away, but maybe the items we ask you for may be a clue...

So basically you need help with stuff. I might be willing to help out. That game looks awesome. Especiall with the Ratio pic and how Chauds' kids are going to look. If you need help with any of the kids I am willing to help.

I'm pretty good with In battle sprites. I could help with that.(If you need help with that... otherwise I'm useless)

I actually might make viruses and battle chips, just to practice the EXE style. Feel free to shoot me down if they aren't perfect, though.

Edit: Or I could start, then have the sprite change to a completely different style three times in a row. I'm still going to try, but the EXE styles never been my... Forte. *shot*

I got an idea to the menu screen. You guys could make a pet with the buttons. a button could be could lead to the library, the other one to the folder, and they would appear in the screen.

ATM, a couple of buildings would be helpful, along with that Menu Screen.

It's not help Per Se (like we're totally useless on our own. >_>), but one or two people felt a little sad that they didn't get in, and some just wanted to help out regardless.

The one to the left is him with his pants rolled up like the pic and the one the the right is regular. The set at the bottom is him wiht his jacket and shoes on. The set at the top is the one I have just incase I mess up.

Ok, I have a bit of information for you already.
Raito overworlds have been done already, so unfortunately NetSaver, we don't need those. Can you turn them into NPCs?

Heh, personal preference really. I'm pretty sure someone will start bitching if we reuse too many sprites.

Plus some new NPCs would be nice. Are these new Starforce sprites compatible?

They should be. They have outlines just like BN4-6 sprites. I think they are just a little thicker and taller than the BN4-6 sprites.

I think, even though they have the outline and all, the star force sprites doesn't fit. Just look, they are thiner, taller, has diferent eyes...
