Space: Skip the intro (might get tiresome after the 100th time)

This is a Mega Man X- fangame I am making with Game Maker.

The current story is:
One day when X was biking, he got a call from Zero:
- X, Maverick Hunter HQ is under attack! We need immediately assistance!

When X completes the Maverick Hunter HQ, he sees Sigma having beaten up Zero pretty bad. X shoots Sigma and Sigma says he will kill them later. And bla bla bla, kill the mavericks and bla bla bla. Maybe there will be a big war with many mavericks vs. Maverick Hunters!

NOTE- Your suppossed to remove as many bugs as possible in a game before you release the complete game

Indeed, he's already made two nearly perfect replica engines for Castlevania and Megaman.

He has it in X2. But lemme' put it his way. When MMX1 came out, it was pretty much a classic Megaman game but with new chars, abilities, etc... Zero was based entirely off Protoman. In X2, a more original storyline was added and thus Zero got the trademark that separates him from Protoman. In short, Zero without the saber is like X without a gun.

Well, to tell you the truth... I suck with GM. But it would be pretty much the same as the "jumping on enemies" engine.

Well, making the saber can be a bit of a problem, but not immpossible. There are actully multiple ways to do it, but I've never really have programmed a sword or something of the sort, so I can't really help you =/

Other then that, it looks rather good, the storyline seems to be like one that would be in the X seris. I would suggest though, is to get someone or make your own tileset (Or mix & match from different levels, though don't mix games (i.e, put a X1 tile with a X3 tile, though that may or may not work.))

But yea, you don't have too, but... Anyway, it looks intersting.

Hum... Let's see if I can help you. First you should split Zero's sprites in two parts: a part holding Zero, and a part holding the saber only (like th pic I uploaded). Then, it is easy, when Zero starts to attack you "instance_create" the sword as a different object with Zero's X and Y variables. The sword object must have somethn like "x = Zero.x" and "y = Zero.y" in the step event, so that it follows him and shoud be the same size so it is easy to overlap. You could even use some transparency on the sword to make it look cooler.

Yeah, that's pretty much how NJCatch designed it as well with his MMX tutorial over at GM Forums. I really need to find some time to convert MMZT's engine and those other engines into a work able MM/MMX tutorial like I had planned to, to finish Catch and my's Collab.

I'm trying it now. I'll edit my post after I've tried it. ;)

EDIT: Ok, here's a list of bugs:

There seems to be a wall bug everywhere. It's horrible. It appers down at the lower levels, as I can't move...

The wall jump doesn't work.

You sometimes get stuck in the ground...

That's all I can think of.

The wall jump doesn't work. Thats true... But its only supposed to be like... one jump... even though it should be better.

You sometimes get stuck in the ground... I just can't understand how to fix it. (he will move again if you jump)

That's all I can think of. Oh, and sometimes Zero cant jump, because his jumping variable won't fill up in a weird way.

And I will try to fix most of them (Perhaps not the wall jumping)

I have updated the game now.
Updates:
Mega Man X shouldn't stop up.
Zero won't stop up either.
I've GML'ed the whole "No key"- event
