MegaMan 8: Cut and WoodMan?

I plan on getting a Sgea Saturn some day, and trying the Megaman 8 on there just for the pleasure of getting two more bosses to fight. But is there any story on why Dr. Wily still has CutMan and he's not with Dr. Light, or why WoodMan was rebuilt? And do you go though shutter doors like regular bosses or what?

I pretty muh know nothing about it, but if I recall I was reading that they're secret bosses...so they're kinda just...there.
