Well, I figured I'd make a thread now...
The fallowing images are PD:

It's a pretty big file I guess, but only becasue almost everyone on there has no poses. (Actually, Zero.EXE has a sheet being made, but I'd rather show it once it has more.) Oh, and Axl has a sheet too, which I do post around. And you know Zero and X do. But I do plan on giving X's Command Mission armors animatable sheets for a game I'm doing. Massimo might get one too for the same game. I don't plan on making sheets for Scarface or Farham though. Oh, and Redips will have a sheet too. (same game.)
Flame Mammoth and Sting Chemeleon will probably also have comic sheets. I'll probably do that with the Robot Masters there too... and redo a few of them, like Flashman whom I hate.

I'm pretty proud of him since he won me a contest a while back, and I think his name is Feldynaught. He's from Megaman 64/Ledgends 1.

I plan on expanding Vile's to include ride armors and make the sheet with his X3 and X8 versions too. And Axl will have a fully animatable sheet once he's done. They're PD too.

The colors are more accurate, and the pose is diffrent. Neither wolves are PD.

There's a MM1 styled Karateman. :P This was actually my first try at the style, and I made it fairly shortly after the PF/PB Karateman sprite for the SI contest. Again, not PD.

This is actually Version 2. His Version 1 has a huge, fully animatable sheet, which I might post once I post the game he's in. (The 2nd demo of 22XX: Grand Tournament.) He's not PD.

That's another one of my characters, Badland, but I made him for the Fire Emblem contest that TPS had a while ago. I think I got 3rd. He was based off his reploid design, and since everyone said this looks better then those, I'll probably use this a reploid design some how. (And I might post Badland's small animatable sheet some time too.) He's NOT PD.

I made it durning the winter, so that's why there's a jacket. :P Not PD.
Again, feel free to give me C+C on anything in the thread at all times, since it's always welcomed. And everything I post will be made from scratch, unless I say diffrent. Please, if I say that something isn't PD, then don't use it. If I said something is PD, by all means use it.
i like the 2 maverick, Flame Mammouth, and String Chameleon.

On-Topic: Anyway, I like the Zero.EXE Sprite, can't wait for the sheet. Oh and concerning your Command Mission X, his stance is weird, and his running sprites somehow is off, but overall great sprites Black belt (Can I call you that?) I hope to see more. 9/10

I've seen the Vile and Axl sheets on TSR! They rock! I can understand why you don't want to make a sheet of Feldynaught.. (That thing is BIG!)

I have nothing to say here that I have not said over at BnG, so I'll just reiderate my point: Kureberto/Karateman is total badarse.

...Wow...feldynaught is class SSS awesome!! The PD sprites are really good to. The leg in Karateman's kicking pose in NES style looks weird. It looks like his foot got chopped off. That, or the foot is sideways.

That Lengends sprite would be a nightmare to sheet.

Here's some new sprites I made a while ago:

MK2 and MK3 Viles did use MK1's base, but I did have to move things around a bit for MK3. He's actually a pixel or 2 taller, not that it matters. MK1 got a small update too, in the contrast of his yellow outline. I tried to keep the colors a bit consistant in some places too. Scratch (tecnically), PD, 15 colors + 1 Transparent layer, and C+C?
Also, if anyone can get me screens of Vile MK3 (MMX8 Vile) Doing moves from the game, that'll help with his sheet. Descriptions also work...
I'll be sheet them too, most likely with my X1 Vile sheet as a base, with variations here and there depending on the version. Oh, and something with Ride Armors... yeah...
Just do not call him Bewbs... >,> He might go off and Shoryuken you.
I cant say anything about Vile that has not already been said by better spriters than I. I like them, but no matter how right the pose is (reference to his MMx1 sprites), it bothers me. Its way uncomfortable to stand like that.
BTW, congrats on hearing that you got a job doing what you enjoy! Just do not let your training slip up. ^_^

I hadn't done a Robot Master in such a long time, I thought I'd do all of the origonal six! (Well, 5 plus Megaman, since Cutman has offical sprites...) All the sprites are within the color limit, scratch, and PD. C+C please?
I'm also going to give them some sheets. I don't know how big they'll be, but I'll probably have something later.
Oh, and since Oakes was begging me to, I'm gonna make Timeman and Oilman too. :P Oh, and redo Cutman and make Roll. Yeah, and that'll do.
Awesome BBD, but are you ever gonna finish that awesome Zero.EXE sprite? I'd love to see him in new poses!

Elecman's eyes looks a bit far apart, in my opinion.
wow really nice i like them a lot my favorite is the fireman he looks the best
elecman's eyes look kinda huge
gutsman's head looks a tad bit too small but other than that they are perfect
Degutsu-man: Looks really good, best of the villanous Robot Masters, however I have 1 gripe. His far shoulder slopes down and sticks out to far, we see too much of it. As the shoulderpad was mounted slightly wrong.
Kabum-man: Everythign wring with him is due to the characterdesign faults. He's just to badly designed for any high quality detailed sprites to actaully look good. so I forgo C+C.
Fiya-man: A great rendition of the pose, except his legs are too short and his torso is too wide.
Lekky-man: Far too rigid and his face looks cluttered. The pointing is good, but all in all, I've seen you do a lot better.
Iceepop-man: Other than the position of the blues of his eyes, I think you got 'em perfect.
Megs... well he's MEGS, and you have a lot of EXP working on Megs. I did not think I'd see anythign wrong with him, and I did not.
Great Job on the sprites. =^_^=
Great job BBD, are you going to enter those in the GSC this year?
Also, what happened to your PD 32-Bit RMs?

As for using them in the GSC this year, since I'm a staff member now I probably won't... but there are events were the staff are allowed to compete, so I might.
Heh, I knew someone would eventually bring up my old Robot Masters... I probably have more done than S.C. does right now. Really, I started off doing "PD 32-bit Robot Masters" just like he S.C. :P
I shut down the site once I got a little better at spriting. I realized I wasn't happy with a fair amount of stuff on the site. Some of it I've been redoing, and some of it I havn't touched yet.
The weird part is that people STILL, after about 2 and a half years of being shut down, ask for my RMs. I don't know why. How do they even know I had them...?
Well, I'll go a head and post a link to a zip with all of my old stuff that was on that site for you guys. Please, don't waste time giving C+C on them, but comment if you want.

My character Arch! I'm not going for any style but my own with this, but he does have the standard 16 colors, and he's full scratch of course. And he's not PD.
Really, it's some kind of psuedo fighting style I guess. The design is like a mix of reploid and realism... realism in the spriting sence I guess. :P the pose is suppose to be like he just went from crouching down to midair. Maybe he's in pain or something too... Either way, it's the first time I've ever shown his face.

Great, texturing, great shading, great pose. The only thing I can find wrong with it is that the wings are far too realistic compared to the char (You did mention that, but still)
It's hard to explain, but it's as if the wings were oil-painted and the char was drawn by an anime studio.
EDIT: One more thing, the shading on his right leg(our left view) is a bit -rectangular, maybe fix it a lil.

drr's right - the wings looks more detailed than the body, so it doesnt fit together as well as it could.

The way I see it, the body wouldn't need to be as detailed as the wings. The body is smooth armor, aparrently, and the wings are uneven feathers, so they're shadin would of course be more detailed than armor, as armor doesn't have much to it. The parts of the body that aren't covered in armor are darkly colored. The detail is there, it's just harder to see.
The simplest part would be the face. (Which seems to be lacking a nose)

A woman! :O Blame Zan for this one, it was his idea really. The Angel one is the "real" version, not the Martial Arts one. (Which is why the pose is the way it is.)
And yes, I did use Arch's pallet, but that doesnt' mean this is a female Arch. :P

The boobs don't look good. And I swear I mean that in a totally not-pervish way. They don't look realistic, or even cartoonily-realistic, like the rest of the sprites there do. It looks like she has huge, round boobs, and she's wearing an invisible bra. With her body they should be smaller, and they should be hanging down more. Not like saggy, but just not looking like they're supported by something invisible. In the clothed picture they look fine, but they shouldn't take up the whole chest in the "R" version, I'm not sure how to describe how to make boobs, just look for an image for reference. NOT PORN. Use a statue if you want to, but her boobs aren't proportionate to the rest of her body.

To make this not complete spam. I realy like how you made the guy with the wings, whose name escapes me right now, and how you made the girl, whose name also escapes me, I realy like them they get an 8/10.

I was listening to music, and just felt like making a sprite... I didn't think I was going to actually finish it, or make anything specific. But, it turned out I was making Kuro '07. :P I should have probably used the somewhat older version of his design where he's got some gear on, but, for whatever reason, I didn't. He's fully scratched, uses less than 16 colors, and is NOT PD. C+C? (Haven't said that stuff in a while. :P)

This is a background for a "frappe" game. It's a beach, but I've actually removed some of the background objects from it. EI, tables, and beach chairs. I also finished the character's sprite sheet, so I might post that sometime as well.

This guy is called, "DLL" and is a comic book character over in Greece. He's a DLL file that was installed, but left behind in an un-install. So, in his game, he'll travel through all kinds of electronics, shooting stuff. :P

This guy is Sarbel, a Greek Pop star. :P This is the graphic for the title screen of the game. This was actually for SONY BMG, but commission through mobileFX. This was also a rush job, since I got the commission last minute, but managed to finish it in the same day.
And I should note, that I actually used a photo, resized and reduced it's colors, then traced it:

Any C+C you've got for any of this is welcomed! But to be honest, I probably won't be able to change anything, since it's either already been used, or there just isn't time. But, I would like C+C anyhow, since I can apply it to other works. :)
(BTW, Oakes worked on a lot of the same commissioned games as me, so if you bug him, maybe he'll post some stuff too. ;))
Oh, and keep an eye on the Megaman sites this month, since I've got something planned for the spriting communities...
Oh my gosh! Two posts in one! Well i have very little to say since this isn't my computer and the monitor slightly disorts everything. The pant shading on the standing blackbelt looks a little off at the folds on his right leg.
Maybe you should have edited this post a bit to make more sense if someone read it for the first time.

Since it's the start of a new year, it seems like a good time to update this thread.
Drei: Probably so around the knee. Either way, I think I'll make a completely new one now.
Anyhow, I've been doing a lot of spriting this year, but not a lot I can show just yet. :P (That would be commission work, and 22XXGT stuff). But, I'll show what I can or want to.

It only got this good thanks to the awesome C+C I got over at Pixelation. It's a great pixel art forum, with great and helpful members.
I'm done with this sprite, so I probably won't change anything. I'll do another nude sprite later though. NOT PD, but C+C if you'd like. :)

About Mega Man.EXE, maybe you could make his saber a little more "energyish"? It looks too dull, and it should be brightened up (in my opinion).
About Mega Man X, I'm not sure why you'd want to put him in his full armor upgrade instead of his regular form, I guess I prefer the blue X. This is just me wondering, but if you gave X his full armor, why not give Trigger it, too? (His helmet!)
Overall, I LOVE that style that you've made. Classic Mega Man looks REALLY good. Great job!

About Mega Man.EXE, maybe you could make his saber a little more "energyish"? It looks too dull, and it should be brightened up (in my opinion).
The reason is the black outline. If you make it lighter, it will instantly look much different.
About Mega Man X, I'm not sure why you'd want to put him in his full armor upgrade instead of his regular form, I guess I prefer the blue X.
Perhaps he wanted to make him look more different than the original Mega Man, because their blue selves are very similar.
Blackbelt, did you use the same colour palette for them all? Just wondering.
to me, Trigger is more recognizable without his helmet. And for the first three games, on the box, X was wearing his completed armor. I agree about RockMan.EXE's sword needing to be less opaque (even though I know in the games it always appears to be solid.)
I absolutely love the AirMan stage, especially the background. Did you make it all yourself?

I love the ZX style Badland. It shows that ZX isn't all about teenager heros wiht biometals... There are huge baddies too! At first, I couldn't tell what was with his left hand, until I looked a couple more times.
Comparign X to everyone else, he seems a bit short.(it is probably the pose)
Do what Aen said about Megaman.EXE.

But, Oakes lost the drive for it, and I didn't. :P So, I just did it solo, but I had already finished X in the Light armor, so I stuck with it. Trigger is just more recognizable without his helmet.

Terry: Correct on the black outline. I just used one of Megaman's blues this time.
Well, that's partly why, the little back story is the other part.
And yes, all the Megamen share a lot of colors, but the blues are almost all the same (I think X's might be different, and EXE has another one in there).
Forte: Heh, correct on those three points, but I don't think the box art had crossed my mind.
And yes, I made everything you see in that fake screen shot myself, from scratch.
Drei: Correct, he's not a model. I think I made him just to show that you can make characters in ZX style that aren't shrimps. :P I made him about a month ago though, just never got around to posting it.
Oakes thinks X is/was a bit short too, but I want the Megamen to be around the same size so it'd be more fair if I made this into a game. :P He's actually a lot bigger than when I initially sprited him. Oakes gave me lots of good C+C on these guys, and X more so than any of them. Though, the pose makes it harder to gauge his size correctly.
Axl: Yes, I made Badland from scratch; from colors to lines. And what do you mean replicate that pose? (Which is something I'd rather be asked via PM, as this thread is for C+C.)

I figured you had made it all. You're the best background artist I know of. The sword looks better on that one, more like it does in the game. For some reason I feel like your ZX character isn't exactly the shading style from the game, but it's 1000 times better than my attempt at making one from scratch.
Keeping that shading style is next to impossible (maybe it's easier when you scan the image in...) so I don't know how much of an effect you're going to have on the ZX spriters. :/ Oh well. It's always worth a try :P

Plus, you can't call someone a God, just because they are good at something.

Because that's what he does in the X games. Classic Megaman never had recoil blur sprites, he just shot and that was it. Hence why BBD didn't add any to him. That and Classic is shooting upwards at X and hasn't moved his stance (because in relative strength MM's buster is weaker), while X was aiming down at Megaman and diffused some recoil by rotating his arm upwards instead of flying backwards (because his buster is relatively stronger).
Anywho, this is just conjecture so I will let BBD answer for himself. :P

Hmm, I could just post the sprite... but I'll respond to the other posts firsts.
I don't think there are any Godly spriters. :P If there are, I don't think they're on this forum either. There's plenty of really awesome spriters out there though. Pixel Joint is full of them.
As for Megaman not having a recoil like X does... well, Turp's explanation sure sounds good! XD But really, I just was thinking of how the frames of animation would look. For X, he already had his frame of the light hitting him, then his buster got thrown back. Megaman's recoil frame would be the next frame technically...
Anyhow, I like spriting Robot Masters, so I thought I'd be the first to sprite Concrete Man.

Made from scratch of course, in MM8 style, with no more than 16 colors, and he's PD if anyone wants to use him. I probably won't sheet him... well, maybe I will. I'd rather wait until the game is out before I try to though. I'll probably keep tweaking him too.

Thank goodness! You make ConcreteMan look better than what Capcom currently has him in 8-bit. He looks more unique like this. (yes, I'm sure you used the official art as a source, but this is a compliment, so take it as you will ;P)
The top of his jaw looks fine, but the bottom of it is too separated at the angle. Insted of the orange pixel next to the breaking point, maybe add another darker "white" pixel to help AA the line, and not looks so segmented.
Unless you were trying to give him some weird cleft-chin sort of thing. The buster's shape is also a bit morphed, but that's just because it's in style, so there's nothing to fix there, and I like it. But his right leg (on our left) does seem a bit too seperated from his groin region by the 2-pixel gap. His leg seems a bit too high up to me, but I think that's just part of being in-style.
The fact remains however that (IMO) that leg looks slightly too skinny, and apart from the hip's socket. Maybe if you move the entire leg and boot in the two pixels it may fix it, but this undoubtedly will distort his pose slightly.
The only other problem I see is that MegaMan has three fingers on each hand, and ConcreteMan has what appears to be a mitten, where the last two fingers are conjoined. It looks fine to me, but I'm not sure if that's how Capcom designed ConcreteMan for Mm9, so maybe make sure on how many fingers he has showing through his gloves. This really isn't a big deal.
Every other aspect of it is perfect as far as I can tell without going indepth to check out the pixels more closely. The only thing I really want you to fix (if you decide not to do any of the other things I mentioned) is the chin segmentation where he gets the gap in the middle where it's supposed to be a straight line at a slanting angle. That's the only real problem I see.

But I see no folds in his pants anywhere but the bottom. I'd think there would atleast be a few around the hips. The pants also look like plastic because of the smooth shading. I like what you did with the shirt and defining the stomach, BBD. Good job.
Edit: His torso looks oddly large. Maybe the pose is just confusing me, but it looks like if he had the rest of his right arm, stood straight up, his hand would go to about his knee.

He's got folds, but they're kind of subtle and minimalistic. If you notice when you wear pants, they really aren't covered in folds (people love to abuse folds in clothes by covering them in lines, which make them look more like wrinkles). Most of them are at the crotch and bottom of the pants. The pants also have hang off of something, which is why they're lacking folds up at the waste. Nor did I find a real effective way of just throwing some folds up there.
Though, I can definitely see the plastic thing. I actually started this sprite thinking I'd dither everywhere, but just using AA was pretty satisfying (which is what I could do to make them look less plasticy). But I honestly like this smooth look (I might fool around with it though, to see what a dithered version could look like).
As for the torso, he's being exaggerated a bit as far as his design goes (like the claws on his hands and feet). His proportions are probably a tad wonky, if only because I really wasn't striving for a realistic approach to his build (just a practical one- plus I'm not that great at anatomy). He's also got his body tilted a bit, which might be why you think his arm would be too long (I don't actually think it would be). :P

I'd suggest adding portions of muscle poking through the skin if you want to try a more 'decayed' look. Also, try adding a small fold or two at the edge of the zombie's left knee to show that the leg is bent (which I'm assuming it is.) Also, ditch the shine. First, denim reflects nowhere near that much light. It looks like his pants got dipped in a vat of varnish before he went out to eat flesh.

As for the folds, since you and a bunch of people on flashchat said he needed more (Candlejack included with his post) I went ahead and added some more (not oodles more mind you). :P As for the shine... I'm gonna keep that. I just like the hard edge it gives the pants. I did do some dithering on them however (just the pants, since I didn't like it anywhere else). So, hopefully they look less shiny. If not, well, I'm probably not going to remove the highlights. :P

Well done BBD. You could add some crinkles in the jeans and if we talk about it. Why not a damaged jeans with crinkles?
About the head: Make a animation, where the eye of the zombie hop out or just one frame where the eye oscillates. One more thing for a zombie is a must:
slobber! As nasty as possible.
Edit: If we recolour the head black we could have a "Shoop Da Whoop"-Zombie xD

I knew what his armor was supposed to look like, which is why I was able to give some critique...but not knowing what his face was supposed to be like; I had to assume that "notch" wasn't there because it looked odd. You have no idea how stupid I felt when I saw the mugshot from Mm9. I felt so embarrased to make the wrong judgment, and I was afraid you were going to reply more harshly about how stupid I was at giving the wrong critique. Sorry for not knowing about the chin better. I still think the "notch" in his chin looks awkward, but that's only because of the angle of his jaw and not at all because of you spriting it, so you really did do a good job on that after all. Most games have their zombies better dressed, but going for accuracy (if indeed Zombies were to exist) you definitely have the physical accuracy of what a post-mortem person would be like. The skin is a bit too green for realism, but the thinning of his ribs and the fact that clothing would no longer matter are small elements that make him look more realistic. The torn arm is a nice touch, though I'd think there'd be a bit more stringy-muscle-flesh hanging off the bone than what you've provided.
Also, the expression on his face is priceless. My only problem is that the crease on his cheek right above the opening of his mouth is too horizontal. I'd suggest to curve that line a little more. No wrinkle or crease is ever that perfect, even in sprite form. So I really think molding that crease to be a little more rounded (nearer to the nose maninly) would help improve it.
It may even show a touch of agony, instead of some sick sense of "shock".
Another thing I'd suggest to consider is that Zombies tend to be slow-thinkers, and act as if they're either drunk, or really tired. His wide-eye is something I'd expect from a Zombie as soon as you pull a shotgun to his face and he realizes what he's staring at. If he's out and alone it would make more sense to me that half his eye-lid, or a portion of it would still be covering the eye. Zombies don't seem to have much use for their vision.
But then again, the amount of decay on him may also prove that there isn't enough tissue left over the eye to slightly cover it anyway. I just thought the slightly drowsy look of a partially open eye would show the same sort of emotion that Zombies tend to convey in games and movies.
(discrediting the ones that are insanely-fast, increadibly-intelligent, and only care about killing anything it stands next to) I'm mainly discussing the Zombies from the "good-old-days" that really didn't do anything but slumber around and mone at you if you walked past. The pre-ResidentEvil Zombies.
The clothing looks fine although the baggy-pants where the knee isn't torn does seem to make it look like he has no knee at all. But that's just a by-product of having the pants to increadibly low on that side of his body. So I don't think there's anything to fix there; just try to define the knees location a little more by rounding the shadow to match the angle of the highlight.
The shadow-line is pretty horizontal, while the highlight is angled more diagonally. Making the two match might show that it's the pants bending that way instead of a mishapen limb, but that's all up to you in the end.
After all that, I'd say it's quite excellent. The only (and last) problem I see other than the things I mentioned is that his fore-toe (biggest toe) on his left foot (on our right) is too triangular. I see that you're trying to do the same "pointy-claw" thing that the fingers have going, but the angle of that toe is all wrong compared to the way the other toes are bent. It's as if it really isn't hitting the floor at the same angle as the rest.
I'd say move the toe's position to be pointing the sharp end more towards the ground instead of pointing the toenail so far to the side. Actually...making that toe point in exactly the opposite direction would suggest that he's tensing the palm of his foot to get a grip on his balance. I assume that makes some sense when Zombies are struggling to control their limbs. Opening the gap between the fore-toe and the others would be much more ape-like and show that he's less human. Just a suggestion though.
Hope that helps, and I hope I don't make a fool of myself this time.

It's always been my intention to post these sheets once we posted the demo, so that's what I'm going to do. However, since we didn't post the demo in it's entity, I won't be posting the sheets in theirs. :P So, you'll get X and Zero's entire sheets, and most of OZ's, but I'm going to hold off on Axl's until we put all his moves into the game.

I don't see anything wrong with any of them. The ony thing I don't like is X's stance. It just looks awkward to me.

I thought I'd update my Avatar; actually, I was randomly inspired to give this a shot (which is great when you just can't get to sleep).
I just refrenced a photo of myself a bunch. I wasn't trying for a limited pallette, but 19 colors isn't too bad.
C+C is welcomed. :) I can't help but think there's a better way to do the transition from blue to yellow on the background (tried diagonal, and I thought that stood out too much).
EDIT: Nothing like having your little brother critique your self-portriate. :P Now if only he'd listen to my crits every once an a while with his work...
I thought I'd just crop the image... any ideas on the color transition method? I still like 64x64 more for the size...

These were actually made for a contest over at BnG, but were DQ'd because I didn't make one more pose (the object was to make 4 unique poses for a woman that didn't involve fighting of any kind). :P Sure, some laziness prevented me from finishing, but so was a bit of indesision. I wasn't quite sure what that last pose should be. :P
If I revisit this character again, it'll be to animate it in this style (cause I think that'd be a neat challenge).
There's also no religious reason for choosing to do an angle. :P It's more ironic than poius.
The refs I used for the poses were pretty much whatever I could find around google. I hope the anatomy isn't too bad, given the scale... any C+C on that would be great. :)
