Okay, at this point, I'm freakin' tired of waiting! We need a TRUE ending to the Classic Mega Man seires. All we have to go on is Mega Man & Bass... And if that truly is the end, I think it's a piss-poor ending. No offense MM&B fans, but I need a better ending than that! We NEED at least one more game!
Now, of course, I've been living in my fantasy world of making the conclusion for the MM Series, but now, I don't care who does it! IT NEEDS TO BE DONE THOUGH! I need the conclusion to tell what happened to all of our MM Series heroes! (But, in, or before, the conclusion, I'd like to be able to play as Roll... And have Tango in there again!)
So someone who knows how, PLEASE start a petition! WE NEED A MM9!

But, in, or before, the conclusion, I'd like to be able to play as Roll... Go play Mega Man Powered Up for the PSP. Roll's unlockable. :g-winky:
As for seeing a real conclusion for Mega Man... I have mixed feelings. Quite frankly, it would have to have an extremely dark ending, with pretty much every character dying in some shape or fashion. And don't go saying that Zero kills everyone, because sourcebooks state that Zero was sealed just after creation, set only to awaken at the same time as X.
Another alternative I've heard, that I rather liked, is that Mega Man and his crew head out to protect space with Duo. I think that would be the best way to end it, because I don't want to watch everyone die.
As for a petition... yeah, that would never work.
Just let Capcom run out of Spin Off ideas.
it would be there a fight against eight new robotmasters and probaply zero. But i canīt believe zero kill them, i dont think that wily can build alone a better robot who can beat a robot thet he created with Dr Light.

I'm sorry, but how in the world could robots die of old age? Also, there would have to be a reason for Protoman to malfunction.

Play Megaman: Power Battles. He's a proto type, so he ended up with an energy malfunction.
Now for why they dissappear: I THINK that Zero didn't kill them, nor did X. I think they were simply deactivated by Dr. Light. Could've happened.
As for a Megaman 9, that would be neat, but meh, doubt Capcom would make it.
Also Megaman and Bass could die because they'd end up being old and useless.

I'll help! XD (Off-topic: Megaman-style games are my specialty =D)
On-topic: I still like my idea. I think it makes sense unless I'm forgetting something or am overlooking some important fact. But yea, I doubt they all died off, as Duo DID come from space. So he probally went back there. And then we can't forget about the dark energy. Some how, I think that plays an important part in what happened between MMX and MM...
In MMX Iris uses dark energy to transfomr her into the boss you fight.

But,I think Gauntlet thing made the most sense,Protman died,Bass turns go untill they malfunction and die,etc,etc.

@Zero20XD6 know it's not said that she uses it in the game itself. Where'd you get that info from zero?
EDIT- Ah hell, i'll go make a topic for it now. Making an engine for the original MM games isn't too difficult for me cause i've tried making on already
Myself it looks the same as the dark energy from megaman 8.

Ok, BOT. Yea, I like Gautlet's version of what happened. Makes SO much sense. MAYBE the dark energy might've killed them off :g-O_o: .

See, here's how I made my ending for the MegaMan Series. It ended up being a 10th one for me, but oh well.
In the beginning, MegaMan and the rest of the heroes facing off against Wily and all his robots from the past. It is thought to be the FINAL SHOWDOWN. (FYI, Bass is nowhere to be found. Treble is there, but not Bass). All the heroes manage to transfer all their power to MegaMan. This created a blast that was so powerful, shooting completely obliterates MegaMan's Mega Buster. MegaMan is knocked out, when he awakes, he sees a barren wasteland. There are robot parts on the ground, and ProtoMan's shield in front of MegaMan. He knows the they are all dead. For the first time EVER, MegaMan wants revenge.
While MegaMan is knocked out, Light sends Roll out to find everyone, because he can't pick up any signal. On the way, Roll is ambushed by a Wily-bot called "The Evil Eye." The Evil Eye destroys Roll, and heads to Dr. Light's lab to steal the chips that power X's Capsule (Somethin' to collect from the Mini-Bosses [Evil Eye in multiple forms]).
While MegaMan is heading back to the lab, Sylph Man (A female boss) flies up to him and gives him the newly installed (from my MM9) Roll Buster, and gives it to MegaMan. And she, then, flies off. While at the lab, with whatever Dr. Light had left, he pieced together a new Mega Buster, and installed the Proto Buster on to it with the Roll Buster. After the enhancements, he meets up with Bass and totally beats his ass, and takes his buster to prevent him from causing anymore pain to anyone.
You then go through and beat the 8 bosses. No particular reason except revenge. You beat Wily, whoopdee. But in the TRUE final showdown, MegaMan pulls off the same attack as in the beginning, he doesn't want to live anymore, he puts his whole being into the shot, and stops Wily once and for all (Not dead, just too old to continue making robots.) Dr. Light is distraught, all his creations are destroyed (or so he thought) except X.
MegaMan, Roll, ProtoMan, and Bass live untill the MMX times, hiding. Before Wily's final defeat, he put a piece of the "Source" inside of ProtoMan and Bass. Making them the Maverick Overlords, and are defeated by "MagnaPrime" in MMX9. MMX9 and Prime are stories for different days!
PS. Sorry, I kinda' like dark games.....
