2/10, I personally don't like the colors. They just seem wrong. Also you need to mix them better. It just looks like you slapped a bunch of parts together and recolored them, you need to do more editing than that. How long did that take to make?
I'd give it an 8/10, but thats because I could tell what parts you used.

Actually it took me awhile to make. Oh well I'll just fix it up. Anyway here is a Vile/X cross armor it's pretty simple only took me about 10-15 minutes to make.

@Shinobu. Not bad, not bad at all 8-9/10 since there doesn't seem to be many non MM styles here, might want to change the Black BG though, can't make out the details on the black pants

When I finish the sheet of his plain standing sprites, I'll change the background.
I prefer, if possible, to not use Megaman sprites. If I am going to do a MM character, it will be my own. Well except for my Roll and Zero (RMZ), because they are my favourites.

It's a good start for you. It seems okay, but one thing, when he attacks, he should move his posture rather than waving his arms stiffly on the ground. I think it needs a hurt sprite.

noobus, that mugshot is pretty cool looking. I like the hair on it, though hair isn't exactly a normal trait on a netnavi(unless it's like some big solid chunk like roll's)

I understand completely, but when spriting a character that is meant to be for the universe of a game, its helpful to make the sprite seem as though it belongs.

The hair needs to be a bit darker to look like it's actually part of the person. Right now it sorta looks like it's just on the screen.

Well, that's different. The hair looks like it fits now. You may want to darken the shadow on the helmet or whatever that is just a bit under where the hood sticks out, and the same on the hair just beneath the helmet thingy.

To fix the "looking more like Axl than X" thing, recolor the joints and such so they match X's Color.

The armor doesnt change your weapon, its like a shell that goes over the wearer.

Regardless of how accurate your ratings are, stop being so damn rude, and, you know GIVE REAL CRONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! >,<
New spriters need the advice of expeirenced spriters to help mold and nurture their skills.

Demoni, your sprites are low quality Franeknedits, not good at all, i'd say a 1-2 out of 10.

First think pick one of hte two and start actaully editting it, I'd reccomend the top one on (our) right; Now pick a Navi/Robot Master Gimmick and start working on it, chaging parts with the pencil tool and the native color palettes until it looks much like what your gimmick is.

Actual Navi is nearly scratch, I cannot say full scrathc with 100% certainty becuase I jsut do not remeber. Most chip effects are Easy Edits. Rate Please?

Yeah,I'm redoing him (Using Swallowman as a base.) More or less I'm gonna use that as a croos.

The arms are like the Guarding Cannon viruses. It's too simple a copy paste. I'll wait for this "new sprite". My advice would be to portray the copy+pasted parts to match, but not look to similar. Maybe a decent recolor job on the Turboman and Cloudman parts would make a difference. Take my sprite as an example.

As you can see, many parts were added that belonged to Alpha, but at the same time, it's not exact. Addition in color can be necessary and can be done easily in Paint. Try to be creative when you change parts on your sprite.

Please, somebody rate my sprite. It took me about an hour to do, so C+C.

A bit of an update with RailMan, I got chip images in! Glee! Anywho, the images were hand-crafted by moi and i just placed it on chips. No change in his actual sprite though, But it's all in moderation.

To rate MegaRock, nice sprite, but I only wish that people stop using Megaman as a base, Even if you did use alpha parts. Some of Mega's parts are still visible, but the color scheme is nice and it's nicely covered over. 8/10.

Actually, that's MY MMX PSX styled PD Axl sprites. You're just expanding on them. Or atleast his ready pose is mine, and his head sprite. You might want to mention something about that on the sheet to avoid confusion. I don't have a problem with it though, just don't say it's yours if you didn't do it all.

You also might want to work on this one's gun looks in some of the poses. Otherwise, it's not so bad for an edit. I don't usally give a rating for a sprite, but since that's what you do in this thread: 6/10

The sprite is good. The rails look a bit strange. Did you use the Chargeman mini-game ones? Because those are well made. The steam pipe looks odd on the hurt sprite. It needs different shading. Also, when he uses his buster, he should receive some recoil. Notice on those sprites, that the user is pushed back or should at least change the sprite for the glowing one.
About my sprite, it wasn't supposed to be original. It was supposed to be Alpha Armor. I'm still planning to make some changes to the feet. The shading was difficult. I felt like I was making Megaman's EXE1-3 sprite.

I'm just saying there should be some graphical changes among the frames. The glowing one is missing and some recoil. Look at Faltzer Beast, it changes a little just to make it look right.

Currently doing a light up and recoil frame now, will post later on tonight, ok?

EDIT: I got the newest sheet up! I added a lightup frame,a shadow, emotion window, and fixed those wierd looking backs on him. The back train part looks for natural now. The light-up frame is also the recoil one.

Seriously people, an emotion window shows EMOTION. How do you expect to show emotion with the BATTLE SPRITE? You need to use a mugshot in the window instead.

3/10 for emotion window

The recoil looks nice, but its barely noticable, so you should probably make the second frame get really bright, and the third one like your second one now.

5/10 for buster shot

Back to the topic at hand:
for the mugshot, the hat doesn't seem to fit it too well. Maybe you need to work on that. Right now, it's an almost obvious cut-and-paste. As for the rest of it, I'd say you did a really good job. Nothing wrong as far as I can tell, aside from the hat.

Seriously people, an emotion window shows EMOTION. How do you expect to show emotion with the BATTLE SPRITE? You need to use a mugshot in the window instead.

Wrong! Usually what ends up happening with that is that you see a large pair of eyes. If you did that on an existing Navi, it's best to use part of their chip image. You're just going to have to make something that shows a small section of their face just enough to show emotion.

i knew that, but in case you havent looked at his navichip, its not really facing the correct direction. and its hard to show emotion if theres no mouth.

I did RailMan's mugshot, Note that this was done by scratch, although I used flashman's mug as a reference for posing, but the mug itself was completely scratch. You can't really C+P mugs for custom navis, well not good ones anyway! I may need to update him later though, what do you guys think?

You did good at the sword, but the wings are kinda weird. It doesn't look like its evenly-shaded, and to tell you the truth, it looks sorta like a monster with all the different shades.
You did good with the feet, but they don't match the rest. Keep at it, keep the sword the same, and try reversing the wings. I'm sure you'll get it sooner or later!
Cutman: 7/10, looks good but keep at it.
Erik: 4/10, keep working, you'll get it eventually. 4/10 since its your first edited sprite.

I just dont realize what to shade. Like, the wings? Oh, and the megaman body doesnt look too good...I dont think I will use that body anymore... and sad, I like 'em add more details or more detailed poses and it'd be great! 7/10. it looks good just...plain.

You never needed to see the "C" on the original sprite.

As for the hand, well, I dont know how that looks like a blob.

Those are thunderman's hands. And the hands are just recolored.

Actaully, the mugshot just doesn't look "mugshot" enough. It doesn't seem to match mugshot art. The overworld sprite is good on the body, but bad on the head. Remeber that overworld sprites are traced by a darker color, usually the shadow's color. In this case, the head's shading is false fro overworld. Plus, it's crooked.

The mugshot is better than I can do, but I must say his head is too big. However, the overworld sprite doesnt seem close to being good. It was alright until you stuck that pipe on his head, or whatever it is. you should work around the grey thing and try to make it look a bit more natural on him. for now, 3/10 (hey it deserves more than a 0/10 for the effort you put in it, no matter how little.)

The mugshot gets a 5/10 since that's better than I could do and it looks alright.

2/10. It is easy to tell where you got the sprites. The colors need to be MUCH better choices. It is a basic frankenstein, try adding some scratch parts to it. The more scratch'd/ edits you do. The more likely to get a higher rank.

Much more improved, but still not quite the EXE style. Much better though. I think that the sprite itself is great, but BN sprites arent that... Fluid. They don't move in their spots, they only can teleport. Right now it's animated more like a smiley than a virus in my opinion. The flashing one is great, because he isn't bouncing up and down, he's stationary. I think that the standing still bomb-omb should just blink, if anything else. Other than that though, great, 9.5/10.

(And if in the games there are viruses that jump like that, show me and I'll stand corrected. I've only played 2, 3, 4, and 5.)

I can tell the body is similar to Black Bomb, so there is no shading problem there. The stance is okay, but the feet just don't have the correct shading.

For some reason, I always thought there were viruses that moved in place...
Anywho, bomb-omb is stationary and only moves when he jumps into your area. The feet gave me a minute bit of difficulty because i couldn't think of a good color scheme. well, I'll fix the "bobbing" issue now. Other than that, I believe the sprite is darn near perfect.

I could do that in two seconds. draw a triangle, another one upside down, and shade. Though you did do a good job on the shading so I can't help but give a 1.5/10. It could be a 2, but the triforce isn't that flat. Make it more squarish.

EDIT: And KoA, there are some that move in place, but it's a different kind of movement. It just doesn't look like it would fit the series. Not bashing you're sprite, or animation. It is indeed REALLY good, but the bobbage jus doesn't fit. Like some viruses do move, but if it was bobbing it would be much slower. Regardless, you said you were fixing it, and it's a good job, so It's cool. Ha, my edit was longer than my post.

I agree with twizter, it doesn't matter how perfect it is. It is very easily done, which is why you got such a low rating. Anyone can sit there with the triforce in front of them and make a perfect copy, then shade it. Now if you want to do something different, blow it up, and do something artistic to it. Such as adding plantlife, etc. Just do something to make it stand out and be unique.

His name is Stryker, I used other PD sprites to make him. I would like some ideas to make him more unique though and yes he is a paladin/knight.

He looks pretty nice cept' I'd erase those couple of grey pixels by his left knee also some added shading to give some added detal to his left leg couldn't hurt. Other than that he looks pretty good.

For closer to a year now I've been working on New Versions of all of the 8-bit Robot Masters (Megaman 1-6 and the GB games) by making them into 16 and 32 bit. Obviously my spriting skills have inproved over time but for the time being these are my first sprites. Also I'm only doing one pose each. I planned on possibly making a sheet for all of them after I at least finished on posefor each Master .

Hm.... that cutman is nothing much more than a recolored and re-edited X. From your post, I expected something much better. KoA gives this a: 3/10

also, I fixed some things about bomb-omb.
I got an anim without the bobbing.

Your Dante Sprite looks really nice. The only thing I can say to make it possibly look a little better is raise the back part of his hair a few pixels. It may be the pink playing tricks with my eyes but it almost looks like he has a bald spot.

I forgot to mention when I work on hightening the bittages with my sprites I try to make them as close to the original style with a little detail help from the Rockman & Forte CD collection. So originally Cutman was just a "recolored and re-edited" Megaman I didn't have much to workwith. It was also my first in this catagory so......it's not my best.

I don't think it is the pik playing a trick on your eyes, it is the zoom playing a trick on your eyes, that "bald" spot is ear, as far as I can tell, anyone else have any suggestions on how to make him better?

The head is all messed up, first try to make his eyes smaller, and use an different base. Megaman chars are completely other than mmx guys.

But normal viruses, don't move when then are standing, even with their eyes...Enought of being picky :p. Now it's worth an 10/10
