Note to the mod's- I'm doing this cause I’m tired (and currently really pissed at some new(er) member) of new(er) members asking the same damn questions over and over again and I doubt anyone checks the FAQ section at the top. If you guys are angered by this than I apologize, and you can delete it

First things first- Read the Rules (http://www.sprites-inc.co.uk/forum/faq.php?faq=rules_faq_item#faq_rules2_faq_item)

Q- Where can I find ZX sprites?
A- Check the Official ZX rip thread in the Sprite rip submission section

Q- Where do I request sprites?
A- Check the Sprites Request Thread in the sprites section

Q- How do I get my avatar shown?
A- Click user CP at the top. You should be able to find out what to do from there. Other things like your signature can also be changed in the user CP

Q- I can't find these sprites anywhere?
A- If there Mega man sprites then ask for them in the Mega man Sprite Rip thread in the Sprite rip submission section. The non-mega man sprite rip section is also in the sprite sip submission section but above the normal topics

Q- I'm making a comic and people say i shouldn't use recolors and TTBG's, why shouldn't i and what are TTBG's?
A- TTBG's are Two-Tone backgrounds. Basically it means that the background of you comic is just 2 colors. You should instead go to a place like www.bghq.com to get better backgrounds. The reason you shouldn't use recolors is because they aren't your characters, they're just the character you recolored with new colors. Instead make a request in the custom sprites request thread or make your own sprites via editing or scratching

Q- Where can I get a ROM of *insert game name here*
A- If you read the rules then you'd know that you aren't allowed to ask here. Though you can ask where to get emulators

Q- When is a topic considered dead?
A- After a month (30 days) of not being posted in. You'll be warned for posting in a dead topic

Q- How do I get better at spiriting?
A- By practicing. Everybody here, even people like blackbeltdude and sovietcommando, started out doing recolors and eventually got to doing edits then possibly scratch sprites

Q- What should I do if someone's broken the rules?
A- In the box off to the side you'll see a Red triangle with an exclamation point. Click it and type in what rule they broke

Q- People are saying that I shouldn't double post and should instead edit my first post, how do I edit my first post?
A- Click edit at the bottom of your post box. When you finished editing click save and you've edited your post

Q- I have a question that isn't answered in here, what should I do?
A- Ask one of the mod’s (though don't flood them with questions) or ask the question in here

Note- If at least 1 newbie learns from this then I’ll know I didn't waste 20 minutes typing it. And yes, this means I’ve finally snapped from the stupidity of some new(er) members

You do realize most people won't see this, right?

You forgot about editing/deleting posts. That should be in there.

A bit of Grammar and Spelling fixes here and there and this'll be pretty much perfect. Lets see what Ace has to say though.

I'll fix the grammer and spelling tomorrow

EDIT- True, wonder what ACE'll say

Jusr finished editing the grammer and spelling

EDIT- I also added a new Q&A to it. Deals with recolors and TTBG's

BTW- Anyone got some idea's for any other questions i should add?

I'm caught between saying "aw this guy went out of his way to try and help the forums" which is appreciated i suppose.

But on the other hand

If a newcomer didn't read the faq, announcement rules or the General notes, then there's no chance of them reading a thread that may sink beneath new threads (possibly done by a bad freshmen that you speak of)

With a proper FAQ by ACE round the corner along with me saying i was going to put my foot down on back-seat moderating (see here (http://sprites-inc.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=1876) ) i'm gonna have to pull the plug for now. Sorry.

We have at least one mod around the place for the entire day to check on things so we'll do our best. Likewise as i said before, newbie twats will always be around ignoring the rules and keeping us mods employed.
