Alright basically, what do you all think of games today? Try to take perhaps your last 5-10 games into question and voice what you feel about games now.
Basically, I reckon that the latest games spark a revolution in gaming as far as the sheer detail on some are concerned. Some are introducing new gameplay, some are introducing interesting spins on old game systems. However I do have concerns as far as perhaps originality and the worth of some of these games are concerned. For the latter point, I bought DESTORY ALL ALIENS! two days ago, and within about 7 hours of recieving it, i've completed the story part and have completed about 48% of the game. All I have to do is find a bunch of secrets hidden around and thats near enough the game done with. Now I bought it for £15 and i feel as though I've been cheated somewhat. Out of the last ten games I've bought only 3 have stood out as being so brilliant, I would have gladly paid their full prices, these games were:
Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana (Still playing and I got this about a week ago)
Call of Duty & Call of Duty United Offensive (almost done with the original, fast moving onto the expansion pack, had for about 2 weeks)
Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires (Got last week, and cannot see me putting it down much)
Other than that EVE online is the only thing other than these currently diverting my attention for a long enough period for me to feel that it was worthwhile parting with the price of what they were asking.
So whats the rest of your thoughts on this subject?
