I'm going to submit this comic to Bob & George fancomics soon, but i want some input before hand. I can't do the images here yet because i can't figure out how to use photobucket, but that'll come later. Basically, the plot is Mega man zero, (the gba games) but Zero, Copyx, and the four guardians act like 3 year olds. I also inserted myself in the comic, and i'm using the avatar found on the left. (everyone does it. don't yell at me for using the idea.)
The comic is titled zero sense, has standard text in times new roman 12, i used the sprites from sprites inc to make it, and have asked several people their opinion on my custom sprites (i've only used 2 so far, but....). The comic will also have cameo parties on my birthday, instead of the comic's anniversary or 100th comic. (probably shouldn't worry about that yet, only have one friend who's willing to be featured. The comic will start when i finish most of my character's sprite sheet.
So, what do you think? I need input.

Ugh, does everyone use that excuse? Well, it's not a problem as long as your character isn't godmodding or an author character.

Only the standard Times New Roman 12? A different font is more attractive. Don't forget to make sure the grammar and spelling in the dialogue are cleaned up.

Cameo parties... like Bob and George?
Oh, and if possible, try to avoid too much sprite mixing.

I was going to suggest if it hasn't been brought up already that whilst Saphiron hasn't broken this rule, its usually wise not to start a thread that just says "I'll upload something new in a short while". Always be sure that you have something to show folks.
In in this case i'd say show test page\beta and we'll see how it goes from there.
And yeah as SC said, you might be the author but don't put yourself in a comic in a way that makes you look egotistical or you won't stop getting stick.

Just because lots of other people do it, doesn't mean it's a good idea. If your character is an omnipotent author or a godmoding Mary Sue, that's gonna turn off lots of readers.
And not only is that sprite just a crappy recolor with wings, it's a crappy recolor of an MMX style sprite, not an MMZero style sprite. That means you're mixing sprite styles, which doesn't look good. If you must use a recolor, at least base him on an MMZero style sprite so it matches everything else in the comic.

Copy X: I'm gonna destwoy you Zewo!! Bam! Bam! Bam!
Zero: Hey no faiw! I want the bustew!!

Maybe be good for a short filler comic, but that's about it. And if you steel that dialouge I will kill you.

If you dont even know how to upload Images to the internet yet you are far far behind in the spriting world. You should learn that ASP before even think about posting this is on BnG. Trust me man I would frist start out editing sprites before making comics. becuase the comic your describing above sounds very lame in detail/sprite effort.
I have a question to ask frist though.
Did you honstely think before you started this thread? How are we suppose to give you comments on something that we cant even see?

Zerox: I'm actually pretty new to the spriting world, and currently have 5 days of homework to make up, thanks to the flu, so i haven't found time to use photobucket. And yes, i thought. I took half an hour to write that. I was also working on homework at the time.
Dead Eye: My friends find it very funny. The first comic is about ciel waking up zero, and upon being woken up, Zero asks Ciel "are you my mommy?" My friends found that hilarious.
And my author character isn't godmodding. He's slightly above Zero in power, and shows up about as often as protoman does in the mm games.

Overlooking the fact that your guy is a recolor, he's also in MMX style. The comic is in MMZ style........those DO NOT mix.

He means that you've done everything for your comic... except actually making the comic. All of it's planned, but there are no results reaped yet. So... start making them results.
actually, i already have 8 strips. I just can't show 'em yet for previously mentioned reasons.

I told you. I have 8 comics already but don't have time to figure out how to use photobucket because I have a lot of homework to make up from when I was sick. Jeez. Read the entire thing before posting next time.

You know what? That's bull. If you can figure out how to put an avatar into the forums, you can figure out how to upload an image into Photobucket. It's the exact same thing. Stop making excuses. If you really didn't have time, then you wouldn't have time to post on here.
I figured out how to put avatar on forums 2 years ago. I started doing spriting stuff in february. And It takes 3 seconds to check my e-mail, see that someone replied, and reply to it. It takes a lot longer than that to use a new website.
A. Real comic makers get F's because they have priorities.
B. "Everybody does it" is the same reason to do drugs. Do you do drugs?
C. Your friends probably do.
A. my priorities are getting homework done so I don't have bad grades, then the comic.
B. I already said I was going to change that. Didn't I already say that you should read the rest of the thread before replying? Jeez.
C. My friends are perfectly normal members of society who don't do drugs and get along well with anyone who isn't a retard. See my 2nd post in the intro thread for an explanation of what I call a retard.

Like I said, a few seconds to reply, and I'm reading this book right now that I have to finish for school. I type while I work. But you can't learn a new website while you're reading. It's different. And I know not to start a topic like that. I already said I wouldn't do it again. How many times do I have to say this! Read the enture fecking topic before replying!
Here's my tutorial for photobucket:
1. Go to photobucket.
2. Register (takes about 2 minutes)
3. Log in.
4. Click "browse" to submit your pictures off your computer like you do on forums, websites, etc.
5. Submit pictures.
6. Copy and paste the URL into a thread to show it to us.
You can use that later when you're done with your work.
(And we all read all of your post. Stop complaining at us to "read all of the thread" okay?)
I already knew all of that but 3 & 4, and I don't have that long.

no it doesn't. I have to go to the website, click the link, then I have to make a name, and all the other information, and I can't do it while I'm reading. When I'm done my homework I'll register, okay? So drop it.
So its taken you 7 days to catch up on 5 days of homework? Thats bull. Uploading your comics to photobucket takes about as long as it took you to register on this forum and make this damn topic. It's not that hard to click a few times, type a username and password in, and do homework. Registering on photobucket is the EXACT SAME THING as registering on a forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Then go to your album, (only one click. hope its not that hard for you) click browse then select the comic. (a brain dead monkey could do it) If you don't post a comic, I vote that this thread is locked.

I'm guessing Saphiron is being a troll, and this thread breaks board rules. For that reason, I'm notifying an admin. Please don't say you haven't had the chance to show us, you've had about a week.
(BTW, Maybe you should give up on comics if it takes you that long to finish generic homework.)

Dude. Not being able to use photobucket is not an excuse. Theres a bloody attachment features on these forums, with filesizes that should be more than adequate for any sprite comic.
Theres no excuse, stop making excuses, you're annoying people.
It's pretty simple : Click the "Go Advanced" button, scroll down, and goto manage attachments. Easy.
