View Full Version : PS (PSX) Sprite Ripping

Arrg. I know how hard it is to rip PsX sprite. About a year ago, I made this sheet for Sprites Inc. http://www.sprites-inc.co.uk/files/Classic/MM8/Wep/mm8tornadohold.gif

What I did is I had to make a screenshot for very single frame, cut it out of the background and then figure out a way to align it. It's hard! I remember that there use to be a PSX emulator that could disable layers. I thnk it was called Blam! or Bleem! or something like that. Anyway, what I'm asking is, does anyone know an easy way to do this tedious task of ripping PSX sprites? There are many (actually important) PSX sprites that they still don't have on Sprites Inc. For example, a life bar for Mega Man 8 would be perfect.

None that I know of. I've been in the process of ripping Eregion from X4 for well over a year now. You'll have to just bite your lip and take it as it is. Tile ripping may be a nice alternative, but I'm not sure if Tile Layer Pro can handle PSX Isos though...
