..the contsnat spambots that keep flooding the top two images of the oekaki BBS? Not that many people go there or anything, but everytime I go there I have to delete about 20 posts of HTML garbage.

I'm getting sick of spambots as of late. :g-twitch:

Unfortunately, nothing can be done about it.
I'll see about upgrading the VB version, but that does mean the removal of some of the hacks.. :-s

I have no idea why these spambots are starting to pop up so often. Plus they're getting more clever, getting better screennames that don't shout "SPAM!" and making up nonsensical stories filled with ads.

Ah, but they're great for venting your frustration on. XD

Edit: Did I mention that they also tried different languages?

I'm sure there's some hacks that in turn block out the spambots for both vB and OekakiBBS. You could find something where they have to type in a random string of letters before registering in loike Google and many other forums I have the pleasure of gracing (that's not many to be honest!) are starting to use.

Anyway, I've seen spam-bots post in other langauges multiple times before, in another forum, so it's not that uncommon. However, it makes it even easier to tell that they're spambots, and all you have to do is put it through a translator if you have any doubt.
