Cutman used to be my favorite Rockman character (Now it's something different) so thats where the Cutman Part comes from. The Steel was born when I decided to redesign and redraw Cutman. I made him look...Steel-ish and taller, gave his arms blades, his head a blade, and made him look much more evil. Steel was his Nickname. So...CutmanSteel.

Since I was hooked onto Red Alert 2 at the time, I chose a name that reflected my interest in the Soviet side. Actually, I was originally going to name it "Hellcommando" after a custom unit in a mod I had for Red Alert 2 (flamethrower infantry for the Soviet side) but was unable to since the forum automatically prevented any screenname that contained some form of cussing.

I usually join forums uner the name "Velatos", but when i decided to join this forum, while i was signing up i had to go to this guy to see if i could get some comics that i wrote published, when i got there he said my progress was "pending" (what ever that means) then when i got back i was kinda pissed and i was constantly saying "Progress Pending?" in my head and i accidently typed it as my name without noticing, it was actually a few posts before i noticed i had typed that but then i thought it sounded kinda cool.

Mine comes from one of my alter egos named Jace Raifel. Jace was born from a combination of the name Jaden from Yu-gi-oh GX and one of my old classmates Chase. Raifel I got from one of the archangels, Raphael.

i chose my name because at MMC the name Soul.exe was taken.,so,I went with my other fan char,Rags.
Rags came from a cancled comic,Rags and Soul. Rags was named Rags because,he was a midgit.

My full name is Adrian Callum Edward Nock. Drop the "Nock" from the initials, and you get.. ACE.
Apparently my parents decided to use all three of the names they wanted to call me, in an order that actually spells out a word. Hurrah for actually having a name that relates to your real name! XD
(Altough thank god they didn't use my middle name as my first. Edward I could stand, but Callum? Yersh.)
As for the "Spark" part.. I used to be hooked on the Sparkster series. Plus it sounded less noob-ish than my old net name, ACE_Da_Killa and less furry than my other old net name, ACE_The_Fox.
And then there was my other old net name where I used my PHONENUMBER as part of my name. Lucky no-one decided to try and phone it XD

My neighbor, who owns the forum, has parents who had very strict policy, since his younger brother and sister joined the forum. In addition, much of the forum's members were fairly younger people. But that forum's long gone by now. It's replaced with a new forum, one that I'm still contemplating about joining.
I didn't see "hell" as cursing, but there was nothing I could have done at the time (I was about 12 or something at the time).
Besides, it doesn't matter anyways.

Back when I was a GFAQs n00b, I got caught up in all of the 'Create A Navi' Topics. Lame and stupid, I know, but what's a guy to do - it's the internet.
In the .exe games, chips of navis are coded in the first letter of their name (but you already knew that). I've been always into music, and my favourite code in MMBN 2 is G (don't ask why); so it only took about 30 seconds for me to think of GrooveMan.exe
The original design stank, but the name stuck with me.

4. Aygox ; random letters glued together. Seriously. I needed a name for an alt in The Saga of Ryzom, which eventually became my main character.
I only use #1 for dutch forums, #2 and 3 on english ones, and #3 and 4 for MMO's.
Me? It goes back to when I was setting up my Deviant Art account. I was getting into drawing at the time and I first drew an 8 ball on a table. When I came to decide what to call myself I thought I'd use the 8 ball theme.
The Surreal part? I dunno. I suppose that I was watching a lot of Tim Burton at the time. Eventually I created the character you see in my signature.
KSorian = Korius Sorian, anyone who read my fiction, knows who this is. I was originally going to go for TSorian, but it doesn't have the same ring to it.
I like dragons, and Zero. So..... Yeah.
Incidentally mate, your name was the name I used on the old Cosmic Gaga MBT. Mine was near enough for the same reason, except the Dragon part was mainly due to the Breath of fire series, and Ryuzero just sounds odd.

Ummm... my name comes from... Omega from MMZ3 and whatever and the guy part just comes from... me liking shy guy, hence OmegaGuy.
This name was one of my first online SN's.Mostly just the name Geno of the character from Super Mario RPG with guy added at the end of it.
I wrote a badass Castlevania fanfic along time ago, I was really getting into it to the point were I started drawing somewhat good pictures of my characters in the story. Well before I could strat writing it I had to think up a name for my character, well I found a english to latin translator and typed in " Dark Vessel " and before I new it, Atrum Vas came out, I liked it so I stuck with it. As for the story... I havn't finished it.. I think I have 4 of 24 chapters done.
i was playing Tales of Symphonia when i came across The Tales of Forum *can't remember exact name* the exact battle iw as at at the time was when Lloyd was fighting Kratos then i saw a fanfic story someone was writing about ToS and i decided to join then i got into spriting the Name i use was KratosVsLloyd, * i ended up spelling it wrong so it ended up KraotsVsLlyod* In short Kvl since then thats my Username, Aside from Zephyr, and Ky

In any case, the name is derived as such:
"Zero" is just Zero, from MMX series cuz he is awesome.
"James" is my real name.
"Magnion" is part of a bosses name in MMZ2 "Phoenix Magnion." I used that cuz Zero, at least in my story, has the ability to use fire magic, and has a hyper form called "Messanger of the Phoenix."

If anyone else saw my resume post on the mod job thread, good for you. My last name is Turpin, but I never originally created this persona of myself. In actuality this nickname is about 8-10 years old, coined by one of my favourite Australian camp councilors (the camp is Canadian based the councilor is Australian). He coined it when I managed to do a couple of 1.5 km portages without grumbling once, while everyone was dog-tired afterwards, including the staff. I just used it from then on because I liked the originality it had, and the way it made people raise their eyebrows, I love to do that in real life too.
Not long ago I wanted to make an RPG game with very original creatures. However, the only thing I could think of was a metal monkey called "Thamesis". How could I possibly create an orginal creature when I couldn't even create an original name? (I mean a name that doesn't represent anything in this world). So I made a little program with Game Maker that combines letters randomly (it is pretty crappy, though). Sosryet was one of the first random combinations that were sort of readable (at least in spanish). My actual name is Matias.

My name was created out of the blue a long time ago when I joined a different Mega Man forum. It was like 5 years ago and I stopped using the name for a long time, but has reclaimed it since I'm back in the Mega Man fan base from a while of neglection to the series @_@;
The name was actually originally spelt "Cader" and I used the full name of "Cader Omega" (this was well before the MMZ series came out, btw). I left out Omega now because of the would-be or apparent reference to MMZ, and I didn't intend that at all.
I changed the spelling because I wanted it to be pronounced correctly by more people. It's pronounced "Kay-Der", so I thought "Caeder" is closer to that pronounciation.
The original spelling "Cader" sounds like more people would say "Kah-der". Even the new spelling of "Caeder" could be pronounced easily as "Sai-der" if you choose to say the C differently. Well, maybe in the future I will choose a name with a real easy-to-pronounce spelling.
I could be wrong, but either way it's the same name, in my eyes.

I've had several names throughout my spriting "career".
The first nickname I remember choosing was when I was a member of The House of the Rabid Chicken forums. What I consider the good ole' days. I went by OmegaEvil2000, because 2000 meant you were from the FUTURE. Also, at the time, evil sounded cool, but I grew up. It was shortened to Omega after my first sprite character.
The second name (or sets or names I should say) I remember choosing is wiLdbLu, wiLdbLuyonDer, and wiLdbLuRanger. Originally, wild-blu-yonder after my interest in planes and the skies in general, and shortened to wiLdbLu in places where it wasn't able to fit. The ranger part I added in later because I like Power Rangers. I still watch that show, I kid you not.
The name I use now, is sodapop or sodapop04. To be quite honest, I needed a change from the wildblu thing because it reminded me of high school and certain things. Sodapop was a way for me to move on from a couple of memories. Also, ironically, I haven't touched a cup of cola for about 7 years.
Waterbottle wouldn't have looked as cool anyway.
I was making a megaman fan game based on the greek alphabet set in the Z universe. It's why I originally got into spriting.

Well, I switched my name from Omega Guy to Dead Panda!
I chose dead panda because, when I was asking for help for a new name, I thought of kamikazeing, and after you kamikaze, your Dead, right? The panda part came to mind when some one said Kamikaze Panda(Also because Zak or Pkitty posted "Don't make me a sad panda!").

Mine's simple enough. Blues has been my favorite character since i was about 6, and just "Blues" wouldn't make a spectacular name so I added a last name.
Mine, is simply a long used household nickname.
Used to be "ricky' only, till i saw ricky martin and thought i needed a name change. Frankly, I was disgusted because i have the same "name" as a person as... idiotic as ricky martin.
Then my brother added the "sio".
I have a few more on screen names...
1) Hagewasa : Direct translation of my name to japanese. Means bright hill or something.
2) Gaia : Name of first MMX original Char drawn
3) Kage : Typed in a sleepy state.
4) Hage : Shortened name of nickname no 1 Hagewasa.
3 & 4 have only been used in MMORPGs.
I remember how I got ricky now, and the other names to.
I got ricky as back then, I was addicted to Zorro and kept asking my family to call me Zorro instead. Then my sister suggested ricky. (No cookies to where ricky came from. The TV.)
Then as I was playing the sims, my brother had this account that had this japanese name and he wanted me to be the same, so he suggested that I add -sio suffix.
Then, MapleStory came.
Hagewasa, Hage, came from some website that gave you your japanese name.
Kage, was a shortened KagemaruX, my first committed character in mapleSEA. Hell yeah. Bet you $5 that most people know Kagemaru. From the comic Tales of a ninja in 21XX. I was hooked back then. XD
Gaia was actually quite accurate. I designed a reploid that was based of the racing stripes of Mets, and actually came up with many many silly random names. Stuff like MetMan MetManX MetMegaMan and the like. Then i read a fictional book about how in the past Earth was Gaea and there was only one continent. Then I thought Gaea may be mispronounced as Gay-A (A Gay).
Then I changed the E to I. So it sounds like GYAH. Okay, that sounded stupid. Nevermind.

First a Quick correction, Flora was green, Nayru was blue, and Din was red. The only thing I can remember about them is that Flora made the land, Nayru the people and Din the laws.
Ok now that is out of my system, My name comes from one source, My friend Xenolord.
My name litteraly translated is Star Leauge Powerhouse.
Star Leauge is both a contraption from a video game, I forgot which one it was in, and a central government for a collection of worlds that my friend and I created.
In the Star Leauge members get callsigns like Xenolord, Maniac, and so one, Mine is Powerhouse. There are a ton of Powerhouse's out on the web so all I did was add the first to letters of where I am from.
I've chosen my pseudonym when I was 12... so, logically, it must have been "cool" and "badass" looking, so like everybody else I took my favorite character and added an "cool" adjective in front of it...
Since I had a... special taste for videogames, I didn't come up with a ShadowSephirothofDeath666, but with a simple Dark-Ax (Ax being from Ax Battler, one protagonist of the beat'em all Golden Axe)...
I'm still using this pseudonym on French-speaking forums, and prefer using simply Ax on chat programs.
On English-speaking forums, I'm using a sort of portmanteau (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portemanteau) : Darx (Dark-Ax)

Hmmm, well when I was little I always hated being called red. (something my best friend always called me to piss me off) but after a while, when my brother in law and best female friend called me that, I didn't mind in the least, and in fact took pride in being called that. As for the numbers, those are the initials of my full name numberated.... I think that's a word...
TUnS = my clan. Zybero came from a long mix of names. I used to be Zyb1149, my first clan took the last 2 letters of the alphabet, added on the first letter of your last name then added the 4 numbers corresponding to your birthday, in my case Zyb1149 = Zy+ B taken from Bay + 1149 (November 4, 1990). However when I joined my new clan i just took off the numbers, so for a while my name was Zyb, but when i was playing Battlefront we kept fighting a clan called "ZY" and my team kept shooting me so I added "er" on the end, making my name Zyber. Now as for the "o", I just ended up sticking it on later because Zybero soudns cooler than Zyber. And Zybero is 6 characters, which some games I started playing needed, where as Zyber is only 5. So there is the complete, boring history of my name "TUnS Zybero"

I got my name a couple of years ago when I started playing RS. I was attempting to make a char but all the names I wanted to use were taken. After about 20 diferent names were used, I took a break from thinking and started playing FFTA. I then got the armor called Peytral and I was like "Whoa, I love the name of that armor" so then I entered it and guess what? It was taken. I then put in Peytral1 and it worked. I used Peytral as my username in like every MMORPG I played from then on. When I started to become a forumer, I didn't make Peytral my username since all the forums I joined were MM related. Then I felt like I needed to make myself a char so then I thought,thought, and thought until I was like. I guess I'll just make his name Peytral. So here I am with a name ripped off of an armor from FFTA.
My name comes from an armor I drew for Zero along time ago. The theme of it was demonic and the armor had demonic powers. I called it Demon Zero. So when I finally started getting into the online world this became my user name because I really liked that armor. Another reason for the demon part was because my 14th birthday was almost 6/6/06. I was only one day off. My birth day was 6/7/06.

I gave myself this name because A: Anything with 'feralcat' in it got me laughed at, and because I own 75% of all the Legend of Zelda Games, and I've "destroyed" (beaten) every one that I own. So... L(egend)o(f)Z(elda)Destroyer.
I used Zoa because my ex-bestfriend stole all of my sprites(this was when I made Fire Emblem sprites) and claimed them as his own on TSR's forum, Fe Planet's forum, and SD's forum. Some may have seen a promoted Ike sprite on a place called Serenes Forest, he stole that too. After the forum found out that the buddy stole the Serenes Forest sprite they banned him on Feplanet, Thespriter's resource, and Sprite Database forum. He used my nickname which was Jay on all these forums(Jay is what my friends call me). I was afaird that people here might now of this thief and I was afaird that people might have heard of this, which I'm sure some have. So I was bored and came up with Zomaxiee of the top of my head, before signing up I shortened it to just Zoa. If some people read this wrong then I will tell you that I did not steal any sprites, my friend stole my FE sprites and SF's Ike sprite.

Kuro Inzen. The name of my personal avatar, and star of a coming rom hack i'm working on. Despite the fact he's sprited in a complete X1/Rockman&Forte based Scratch Style, he's a fancharacter from the Xenosaga Universe.
His name means "Dark Inner Power", and fits him as he's a Psionic that specializes in Photokinesis (light and shadows) and Psychokinesis (a combined form of most element-specific abilities + Telekinesis)

MechaEmperor was originally Machine Emperor, which was a character I created on Yu-Gi-Oh Etc boards(back then I was Guardian of Destiny, or GoD for short....dont ask, someone else gave me that name). Because of a random accident in my life, I got traumatized and so Guardian of Destiny brought back painful memories. I took Machine Emperor instead, but made it more "japanese" by calling it Mecha Emperor. The 7000 is just a number I like(and one I add to every username). I chose this out of all my other names as I have an unhealthy obsession with anything mechanical.
This is one of the few names I have across the net, the other being Miy(which is one I use to pose as a girl in MMORPGs).

I chose my name because some people call me insane because of the things I say and do.I'm also sweet compared to people....I guess, witch makes my insanity corrupt.
The name I use is the name of one of my many Original Characters. (The one in my Avatar)
I chose her because she's a person of neutral taste with special nurse skills and has a personality that's different and often varied. Also because she's one of the only original characters whom I've developed a decent sheet for over 8 months. (I'm still working on it, but I'd like critique for at least the avy just for now.)
