Hello my friends, I'm making a game called Dark Arms. A three part game that has nothing to do with megaman. Dark Arms is about a darknessbeing ressureted and Kai the current holder of the light element must take control of all these elements and defeat Traxes the overseer of darkness. Now I can program a pretty good game, but I suck a spriting right now so what I want is at least 2 or 3 excellent spriters that arent working on anything and who are looking for something to do. Also I need someone to be in charge of music.

But anway if you would not mind helping in this long project drop me a line.......Oh and since the demo version of multimedia fuzion 2 wont let you create an application I need a free program close to MMF2 thanks
You must have proof the game is being made.(Screenshots, a demo etc.)

The fact that he's got a title seems like it's under construction. :P (Really, most games don't even get a finished demo.)
But, you could at least tell some story elements. What's the game about, who do you play as, what's the gameplay like?
As for your MMF2 thing... you'll have to buy it if you want that program. I havn't really heard of anything that's close to it. I do however find MMF1 to be better than gamemaker, so I'm sure you'll find some program to use.

and heres another picture of hypeman.......like i said ill try to get a screenshot of the title page so i can provide better proof but believe me this game is gonna be very cool.....ive been thinking of it for about 2 months now just give me time.

Yeah, recolors aren't your friends. Maybe make him look a bit more original.

plz dont do this to me.........not yet ok heres a deal....ive got a couple ideas to "enhance" hypeman(one idea was give him a scarft which im working on now). Give me til tuesday to give you my custom sprite sheet and a title screen and if i can you may banned me for how ever long you see fit. This will give me half of tommorw all saturday some of sunday(i go to church) and all monday(no school...thank you labor day).....but still keep in mind I cant handle this all by myslef so if you want to help plz email me (email on 1st post)

Guys, relax. He has to start somewhere. No use screaming advice at him if you're going to scare him off. Lighten the hell up.

Look up GameMaker, if you want a free alternative to MMF.
If you're willing to get a bit more hardcore, get the free Flex SDK from Adobe, which lets you build Flash games without having to pay for the Flash application.
It probably would have been a better idea to settle on a platform and get at least one sprite sheet ready before announcing the game. Even better to have something interactive, even if it's a single character in empty space. A lot of people announce game projects and never finish anything, so most people get pretty jaded (as you can see).

look this is my 1st project and im known to finish wat i started as long as im supported so gve me time cause this is really hectic finding time for school and this. My parents really dont support me which makes me mad and want to quit but this time i refused to give up no matter wat not this time. I went to a game camp and developed my skillz and im ready to unleased them so progess pending close this ost or banned me but I WILL finish my 1st project.
No problem, and for the record Progress Pending (PP) isn't a mod so don't let him piss you off. And second good luck, it's about as much as I could give you.
Sorry 'bout all that, anyway it looks like it might turn out okay, but you really need to make hypeman look less like megaman, addidng a scarf might make him look like protoman though

I suggest you get sprite crits in a sprite thread AceJ. Go to the sprite section and make your own, you'll still get help.
However, you won't get any spriters to make sprites for your game, unless you show what you're capable of programming. Program something basic you can show here. Like, a simple Megaman engine would be fine, were you run around and shoot stuff. Plus, you don't need to make sprites for that, just program.

and two you think if i create a test game (a simple game sowing what i can do with programming) because when i went to camp i mention i lrean how to develop a game and a I stilll have that game. It was bes at camp but of course it cant compare to wat weve seen. only problem i cant find the disc so ill just creat a simple game not only showing wat im capable of but how my game will play out. Will i grab spriters attention that way.

I need to bulid up a reputation to get spriters to help me with my project.So ive come to a very careful decision. Ive come up with a game called Blade Attack Alpha. Story line-The four greatest blade weilders, all playable charaters, (Link, Zero, Sword Kriby and I have another solt but dont know who to add) have gather to prove their strength. All they have is their sword and one friend who will support them throught their quest. The game will consist of 5 stages. Three of them are to test their power, agility, and wisdom. the last two is a tortament between the 4 charaters. Each charater has three moves. A beta alpha and omega power moves. You have 50 power points. Beta cost 10 alpha cost 20 and omega cost 30. By defeating enemies you can recharge your power meter by any random amount of numbers. Each character also has a support character which will allow them to call forth a person form their respective series. Calling a support will do various things depending on which character your playing. You can use them twice and their not rechargable.
So what do you think..........But I still need a 4th character.

AceJ, I just replied back to your PM, so please as a final warning, DO NOT TYPE LIKE THAT. The annoucement has been made to use capitalization and punctuation. If you can't spell, that's fine, but make an effort in what you type. This isn't a chat room, take your time.
The next time I catch you post ANYTHING breaking that rule, I'll give you a level 5 warning. Sorry.
Anyhow, this idea sound interesting, however, if it gets sprited, I suggest making sure all the sprites are in the same style. (Or very close to it.) If you use Link sprites that are in a Megaman Zero style for example, try to use the Megaman Zero styled Zero too. As for a forth character... I don't know, maybe someone from an RPG.
And no matter what the demo is showing your programming skills, just post it. As long as it isn't porn, I don't care because it won't break any rules. :P (Probably not anyhow.) No one else will care what it's about either, as long as it shows what you're capible of.

Ok then. I'll get started on it today. I should have stage one for at least Zero (who I've done the sprite for yesterday). I'm gonna do Sword kirby after posting this post, then start on the stages. I won't have the support system up in the demo.....sorry and I will have only one or two power moves ready. Also I'm gonna buy Multimedia Fusion 2 but right now I only have the demo so you'll have to download the demo in order to play BAA's demo. Sorry for that too.

I have come across a problem. I got in some serious ass trouble with my cell phone (Verizon charge me for stuff I didn't get and my bill was almost over 100 dollars) so my mom locked me down from tech for a year (she isnt for real) but I am on punishment so if i do give you a post I'm sneaking on the computer and when I sneak I dont usally have time to do any thing but chat or check mail so as soon as I'm on my feet my project will get started I'm so sorry......FUCKING VERIZON YOU'LL PAY BITCHES
