Super Mario World goes Rockman EXE!

Other than Azo who has implimented a Rockman character into a SMW hack, I have already done so with my first hack: Super Mario Universe. Not replacing Mario, but RockMan EXE styled graphics implimented into the game.

I'll put a zip up so SMW fans if any on the board can play... >.> For now, lemme post up a screenshot of what I have done with Rockman EXE 6. Since there was no Aqua or Ice panels in EXE 6 (last time I checked) I made a remix of the Ice panel you see in the image.

I did this last year, it was also part of Super Mario Universe II: The Millennium Project.

Now, for some reason the File Attachments will not load up cause of a "Time Out Session"... you'll need to go here to grab the hack... --;

Update Bump... Creating a hack that has some RockMan related items, images, sprites, and the what not in a Super Mario World hack. One of them, is this nifty sprite I sprited up last week while doing an edit on one of the main levels.

Since I believe Serenade is female and I don't want any flames directed at me for those who hate the fact of Serenade being a girl... heres two images attached.

The first image can also be seen at the Rating Sprites area. The second image shows it actually in the game of mine that I am making for a Super Mario World hack.

In the original anime/manga serenade was a girl, but they turned her into a guy when they brought it here

Sernade. Is niether. Or both. Depends what you want to beleve. It is true she was called "He" in the American/English version of the game, but that proves nothing. In Megaman Battle Net 3 shes a he, but in Rockman Battle Net 3 shes a she. I do beleve Sernades a girl cause having Sernade as a guy would be...weird.

I said no flames, at me, or any flames on Serenade's gender... and to put an end to this... some official text found on Rockman.EXE Online (put in gif format for size reasons, and because Image Shack, or any other image uploading websites won't frigging work with me here with uploading large files x.x).

Now with that out of the way (and the end of the small off-topic war), now to answer some questions: PlasmaMan's question is about EXE elements in the game

(answer) sorta both, sorta neither. A few levels are like secrets (of course borrowing the cyberworld plot from Rockman Zero 3) Mario finds a hidden door, and get's transported to a cyberworld version of that level and the sprites are replaced with EXE virus sprites. The image seen on my first post is the forground objects of Dinosaur World's "cyber world".

Also, if you like to play Super Mario Universe, you may, but I will not
1) Give you the ROM, most of the moderators will not take that kindly.
and 2) Give information to finding the ROM needed to apply the IPS patch to SMW ROM (which you'll have to find yourself), that's what internet searches are for.

Of course, you'll also need to find a good tool to patch up IPS files to a .smc file. Super Mario Universe is one of my first full game hacks with one of the sub maps actually being a RockMan.EXE-eques world, with the levels completely EXE-ified.
