Actually, it's because everyone back in the old forum thought that the new head was awkward and looked too much like Oilman's head.
Bring out his beak a bit more and I think he'd be perfect.
As for Iceman... Rounder eyes, smaller pupils, and bigger head in relation to body and I think you'd nail 'im. I can't wait to see your Quickman sprite since you've revised 'em.

I redid the head and torso.
[Note: the head was scratched. Hm, BBD was right, scratched is better. :D]
Lookin' good. The stance is a bit odd though. Perhaps turning his right foot inward will fix that.
And yes, scratched is better. It relieves all sorta of itches.

Well, the head is definitly better in the newest version, good job (Although, I'm pretty sure his head crest's fins aren't that vertical). But, the sprite isn't proportional to Megaman in the same style, and the body is a little loppy.
I'd say the stance should be much more like his arcade counterpart's, that will probably make it easier to make poses for later anyhow. His chest should also be bigger in general, wider mostly, including his waist line. He also needs elbows in his arms. :P
Another probably comes from the peices you used to splice him together. His legs need to be improved becasue it looks like his knees are trying to bend the other way. (Again, trying to emulate his ready pose would be a much better idea, especailly since Bass doesn't have a standing pose you can use as a base.) The transition on HIS right thigh to his knee is also bad, since it's kinda crooked. One last thing about the legs, is that when the upper part of his lower leg is the same color as the foot, they should both have highlights. (Anything but white really)
I don't really have much to say about the arms... but I do think the boomer launcher is a little too big for the size of his arm.
Overall, this isn't too bad. The problem is that you want to restrict yourself to using the base too much. You already scratched the head, so you might as well scratch the body. Or, take it slow, and scratch a tourso, or maybe an arm or something. I definitly think you should try to make more scratched parts though, since you proved with the head you can do it.
Actually... Quick's always had a pretty skinny waist; he's built like a runner. =P His other sprites depict him with a thin waist:

Though his torso could use a lil more girth, however not too much. Now that I've looked a bit closer at the sprite, his thigh-to-knee trasnistion or whatever is a bit awkward, though at first glance it wasn't noticable. A change in pose will help that, however. His pose, while alright, looks a bit painful due to the foot placement.
The boomerang's fine. It's as vertical as my figure's is, it's as vertical as my avatar's is... a wider boomerang looks kinda ungainly anyway and'll cut down on aerodynamics. With the angle smaller, it'll have less resistance and'll slice through the air better.
Other than that, the sprite looks good.

If you're wondering, I resized Rush's head to 200%. However, rather then just doing that, I even fixed the resolution and did other edits. The rest of the car was scratched.
...Oprah didn't send me a new car. *sniff* I'll just hafta build it myself then. >>;
Anywho, looks spiffy. I wanna see a side-scrolling racing game; that'd be awesome albeit a bit awkward and tricky to play. I'd also like to see a foot-race racing game.

Me likey! I think it's perfect now. Actually, bring his elbows up by one row of pixels to shorten his upper arm. Then he'll be perfect.

Move his left (your right) leg forward two or three pixel columns so it's bent at the knee, then move his right (your left) leg forward about one or two pixel columns and that should fix it. Hell if need be, I can whip up a sketch of the stance in Photoshop. It won't take long and I'll do it now as I'm bored. Watch this space for an attachment! =P

'Sides Ricky... it's stylized. Meaning, Soviet takes an artistic liscense with the design and it doesn't hafta directly resemble the Official artwork. =P

I read what you said about Quick's hands, so forget what i originally intended to say about "Ze Handz". Now the hands furthest from us seems to be blending into the knees. (See green circle for details.)
Chest thingy leading to arms has a odd part. (See green circle for details.)
And i thought the neck was black? Or the neck is hidden by the chest thing.
But add "Ze Head" to it. Head's okay, but the earpiece is wrong shape.

Seriously, Soviet's other sprites don't necesarily match the Official artwork either. Neither does my avatar (nit-picks: "boomerang too wide," "shoes too floppy," "doesn't run fast enough" etc.) Neither does my whole art style (nit-picks: "eyes don't look right," "expressions are too realistic," "too proportionate," etc.)! But, does it matter? An origonal style is what makes it, well, origonal. Not everything hasta match the Official style. We're not cookie-cutters. To be honest, I tire of seeing people copying a certain style to the letter as to me it shows a level of uncreativity. I prefer to see a whole new look, a whole new style, something origonal. I'm drawn to unique styles of fan artists more than I am to those who try and emulate existing styles. It shows that they show a passion for their work and are not afraid to think (or draw or sprite) outside the "standard" Official style.
So, quit the nit-picking. The Quickman sprite looks just fine. Small, subtle style changes aren't something to have an aneurysm over.

I never said anything about my sprites or sheets being done or finalized. I know perfectly well that the animations will be choppy. Besides, that Heatman is just a placeholder until I fix him or make a new sprite.

The reason it didn't work is 'cause you were trying to link it from your harddrive. In order to post an image it must either be uploaded through the forum or uploaded on a host like Photobucket.

Hm, I've never encountered such problems with Pic2Link like that before. I suppose you'll have to use the attachment system (it's a lot easier than the image tags to deal with, in my opinion. )
Anyways, my absence for the entire weekend was due to my internshp interview and from a crappy wireless internet connection at my house. So, no, I didn't die or anything that would keep me from this forum for so long. XD
Anyhow, with so much free time, I was able to complete a sprite set. This time, the majority of the set is scratched.

Something I didn't get around to last time you posted Quikman, was telling you he's not proportionate to Megaman. :P I'll say his design is pretty good though.
See, if you look at PF/PB Quikman, and compare him to PF/PB Megaman, you'll see Mega's head comes up to about QM's chest. Part of your problem was useing Megaman's standing pose as a judge, since that means everything else has to be proportional to that. So, I'd advise you use the ready stance, and make QM's ready stance so that Mega's head is up to his chest. That's the biggest error in your conversion.
As for the Kirby styled Megaman, remember that scratch doesn't always equal good. There are quite a few things you should probablly fix...
Proportionally, I'm not sure if you'd want him to be that big. Bigger then Kirby, sure, but not bigger then his MM8 sprite. I'd say something that's closer to Rockman Rockman style is better.
The dark blues on Megaman could definitly use more contrast too, since it gives the current look a soft feel. His light blue colors don't have a nice contrast like all his other incarnations, this one seems too staurated.
In general, Megaman is very anime and very chibi. His head is always bigger then his chest, so you've got to do something about that I think. And, possibly as a result, you've given him VERY tight looking panties.
And please define his leg's shapes, since now they're kinda blobly. Mimicing the MM8's legs would be best. Or better yet, make a ready stance.
His head really bugs me. It's probably becasue of how his eyes are, in combination with the incorrectness the way his helmet sits on his head. From the the top of the head to the buttom of the eyes, the entire thing should move done. Doing what you did make it seem like he's looking up, or his head is too big for the helmet. A neck wouldn't hurt either...
Really, I suggest a SD looking Megaman, like Rockman Rockman style.
As for the Megaman Kirby, the helmet probably wouldn't be covering the entire body. It'd probably be more like a hat, like how he looks when he's got Ness's hat on, but instead it's Megaman's helmet. Maybe Captin Falcon's, but in either case, you don't have that triangular peak Megaman's helmet has.
Overall, your stuff isn't what I'd call bad, it's just you don't get anything more then compliments most of the time. Try posting your sprites at other forums to get other opinions as to how your sprites can be better if you have to.

Something I didn't get around to last time you posted Quikman, was telling you he's not proportionate to Megaman. :P I'll say his design is pretty good though.
See, if you look at PF/PB Quikman, and compare him to PF/PB Megaman, you'll see Mega's head comes up to about QM's chest. Part of your problem was useing Megaman's standing pose as a judge, since that means everything else has to be proportional to that. That's perfectly alright. As the spriter, you can accpet or turn down any C+C you get.
Here's some more though. :P
The "slash" trails don't usally look like that. (On the boomerang and the throwing.) It's either an arm's after images, or a swipe. It's kinda hard to explain, but I think something like Frostman's motion trails would work well. Or better yet, something like Frostman's, but with the blue after images Quikman has. Something to think about is all.

Anywho, Quick's size is just fine. He may be taller than Megaman, but he's not THAT much friggin' taller as PF has him. Megaman comes up to about Quickman's cheek in SAR and oh god there's an ant running around on my laptop. *smooshes it* Problem solved. Anywho...
In SAR, which, since it's got animated cutscenes and whatnot, is what I use in terms of scale. Megaman comes up to about Quickman's cheek, which I'll snap a pic of here in a second. If Megaman's roughly 4'3", then Quickman would be around 4'5"-4'6" tall. He's really not all that big.
Megaman weighs a whopping 232 lbs. Just a fun fact.

It's still in the spriting stage - the base engine is working fine, once all the weapons and weapon animations are sprited and put into the engine, I can program the weapons and items, and once thats done.. the game seriously gets underway =D
I see there is some histroy to this character then at first glance, then I guess I'll eagerly await....
And the sprite is very awesome looking, really can't netpick anything.

After runnng through Google I came across the contest thread in the old Sprites Inc forum. Here's a bit of background for Ordinance Man:
For those who have been wondering why I haven't continues my 32-bit conversions, this is my reason. [Warning: Long post.]
Name: Ordinance Man
Specialist: Explosives
Master Weapon: Blast Missile
Weakness: Fire or electricity
Music: Preferably techno that is fast-paced and with a lot of bass.
Background: A warzone [I might do this one].
Bio: With the defeat of robot masters like Napalmman and Searchman, Dr. Wily was about to throw the towel. Wily needed more firepower.
Ordinance Man is the equivalent of a one-man army. With enough firepower to level a well defended fortress, Ordinance Man can (and will) launch a wall of destructive power at his opponents. Generally he lightens up his targets with a few heaping rounds of Gattling munitions from his retractable buster arm. His primary weapon, the blast missile, is a heavy dumb-fire type with a massive radius to take out multiple threats. Mounted on his shoulder is a missile pack that fires a small cluster a semi-homing rockets [animation not done yet]. When transformed into a tank, his arms become cannons.
Ordinance appears invincible, but his Achilles' Heel lies in his own weapons. When firing his Gattling Cannons, Ordinance Man has to fire in bursts to avoid overheating. Any fire-based or electrical-based weapon could spark all of his weapons causing many internal explosives that significantly degrade his frame. His armor and an internal cooling system do provide the protection against the heat-flashes of plasma blasts before succumbing to the destabilization of his structural integrity.
Notes: The only part that I used were Gyroman's eyes. The rest of him was custom, based on various sketches. Colors are from Gyroman, Megaman, and Protoman. If I'm missing anything or you want any changes, please tell me.

That the weapon that each character gets when they defeat Ordinance Man. At first it was assumed that the contest was to emulate the Power Battle/Power Fighter games, so that's why it's in that style.

It's obvious why you don't want to make a sheet. (BIG SPRITE ALERT!!!)
Now that I took a look at the sprites (not having internet access at home kinda hindered that), I think that Heatman's Zippo case needs to be a bit bigger. Not quite as big as the first one, but definetly bigger than the current. His body should be mostly Zippo. If need be, I can snap some screens of Heatman from various angles from SAR. That'll give you a good reference for Zippo size in proportion to his body.
Flashman looks pretty good. The foot placement's kinda painfully awkward, and his Time Stopper goes on his right hand (I'll hafta double-check, but I think Flash is right-handed), but the sprite looks pretty spiffy.
Bubbleman could use some bulk. He's not the most svelte of the RMs, he's actually a bit dumpy. He's not too fat, but he could use a bit more padding around the middle. And... what is that thing on his back?
Crashman looks good, no complaints there.
Metalman looks pretty good as well. He's lacking his red kneepads, but he looks pretty good.
Airman could use some bulk in the shoulders, but he's definetly an improvement from the first version.

They're good but I don't remember Brightman being fat or plump in any way. I think he was supposed to be skinny like your sprite of him shows. (or so that was how he looks in the game I had until I lost it.)

I think it'd be best to just scratch Quickman's body now. The head is pretty good, you just might as well do the rest of his body from scratch too. Legs and arms included.
Needleman's top isn't too bad. It looks pretty good over all, with no real problems. His legs are a problem though. They're very pillowy, and the diffrences in sizes is too much. You should make his back leg bigger to match the front's. The light source on him seems to be comming from the left... not the right, IE, in frount of him. It doesn't seem like too big a deal though, but you might want to play around with it. Also, useing the white for highlights wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

Also, the car has to be bigger, or Quicky has to be lower to make it sleeker. You also should rise the window up a bit, since it's not being a wind gaurd as is. It could also look shiney. It's not too bad, but it doesn't really match the sprite too much... Hard to explain how exactly, but I'd say it has to do with the colors and shading. (The shading isn't bad on the car, but doesn't seem to consistant to the style.)

Quick's car is actually taller in the back than it is in the front. It's a sharp slant from back to front, so it's like taking a trapezoid and standing it on end. I'll break down the Sonic Formula into its basic shapes for ya here in a second.
