Indeed, Tex Avery is one of the greats. have a rather lovely book that features huge colour images of all his MGM shorts that I rented out of the liabury countless times until I finally came across a copy for sale on Ebay.

Random fact: Tex Avery cartoons are massive in France. In fact, france is the only country in the world to currently have a complete DVD box set of his cartoons. Same reagion as UK DVDs, but the set goes for a bomb on Ebay. Warner Brothers has no intention to release the set anywhere but there. BASTARDS.
