Wily's up to his old tricks again. Whilst dealing with a seemlingly routine attack against the city, megaman recieves a distress-call from the lab.
"Megaman!> we're under attack! Wily's tricked us yet..."
As the radio circuits out repeatedly, Megaman rushes to Dr Light's laboratory to find it in ruins. Several computers had been erased and important equipment missing.
Finding a dazed Dr Light on the floor, he asks:
"What Happened?"
"That snake, Wily, the assault against the city was nothing more than a diversion! Wily's taken most of my latest acheivements..."
After suddenly noticing not many familiar faces around, Dr Light confirmed the worst.
"That beast of his, Bass, he's damaged Rush and Beat,.. And... He's taken Roll. I don't know what he wants with her.."
"me.", replied Megaman, "Wily did this so i'd come after him. And thats exactly what I'm going to do."
|

As Megaman will soon learn, saving Roll and kicking Wily's bony butt this time will not be as easy as before.
This time, Wily's come up with the ideal plan to get rid of that meddlingly Blue Bomber.
He's built a deathtrap of a fortress, within ridsides some of his most powerful and devious creations yet! And this isn't even beginning to take into account the little suprise the "good" doctor has in store for him. |

This my friends, is a fangame. Unlike most fangames, its one I like to think the community contributed to. Because, well, they did.
Shitty storyline aside, i'm hoping this will be quite unlike any fangame you've played. Mostly because, unlike some people, I actually know what i'm doing.
The bosses below, came from a Robot Master contest.
The contest was simply to make a fully working robot master. By fully working, as in could be used in a game, a complete sprite sheet if you will.
And the prize? This game will be the prize ladies and gents. |

Yes. Game. The original plan was for the Contest Winners to be brought to life in a Power Battles style game. That's all well and good, but its nothing really special.
Instead, the current project will deviate from the Megaman formula, and play akin to Metroid. You know, that really, really kick-ass series?
(No, not the 3d FPS ones idiot.. i'm talking about the 2d ones! Duh.)
Below will be the details cocerning the game, characters, and of course, the kick-ass robot masters I got sent during the contest |

|
| Megaman
Dr Light's ultimate creation, and the player. Thanks to upgrades by Dr Light, Megaman has several tricks up his sleeve this time.
Oh wait, he doesn't have any sleeves. |
| Dr Thomas Xavier Light
Megaman's creator. He will assist the player where possible. And in a fortress like Wily's, assisstance will be rare. |
| Auto
Light's scatterbrained assistant. He's good at building stuff. He's also good at loosing it too. |
| Roll
Mega's (kidnapped) sister. And she needs your help. |
| Protoman
Prototype to Megaman, he's never around, and you never know whose side he's on. |
| Dr Wily
Megaman and Dr Light's nemesis. He wants to take over the world, and he needs to destroy Megaman in order to do it. |
| Bass and Treble
Megaman's rival, he see's it as his destiny to defeat our hero. Unlike usual, he's decided to obey Wily, for once. |
| Shadow Joe
Prototype Joe Commando unit. Control's Wily's grunt robots, the Sniper Joes. |
| Sniper Joe
Mass-produced Grunt robot. These make Megaman's life a living hell. |

(Gee, don't think he's making up for something do ya?)

Previously a Champion in the arena, Wily captured and reprogrammed this Master to guard his treasured creations.
This guy knows his kung-fu. |

This sadistic Master loves to watch his victims fry, and can only wait to get his mits on the Blue Bomber.
DWSIN #002 - Ordinanceman

DWSIN #010 - Aeroman
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's certainly not a super hero!
DWSIN #011 - Psiman
An experimental 'bot, whose abilties to move objects with his "mind" no doubts helps Wily. Shame he's put to menial tasks like washing dishes. |
DWSIN #008 - Volcanicman
A hot-headed master, who can quite literarly blow his top. His firey domain isn't exactly ideal for letting off steam either. Poor guy.
DWSIN #009 - Boomerman
A Aussie based 'bot, his Boomerangs are quite lethal, as these one's don't go back to him, they go into the back of you! |

DWSIN #006.0 Grooveman & DWSIN #006.5 Discoman
This dancing double team are going at it retro-style.
And they'll dance the night away on Mega's grave. |
Here's just a few of the moves Megaman will be able to pull off in the game:

The trusty slide is back, and this time, you'll be able to slide THROUGH the legs of the taller robots, and possibly even trip them up!

In addition, you can use the increased speed from a slide to do a large, high and long jump. Best thing for pits and tall robots.

Dr Light's finally seen sense, and allowed you to duck.

And you can also scale walls with the Wall Kick.
You can see some of these moves in action in this early test video: (This is the actual game at work)

Remember, its an early version, so weapons aren't programmed. (Neither is the duck XD)
